Job summary

Quinzi Construction is seeking an experienced Mason to join our team in New York. The successful candidate will work independently and with a crew to complete projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include constructing and repairing walls, reading blueprints, mixing mortar, and shaping bricks and stone with chisels, hammers, and saws. Candidates must have a high school diploma and be able to lift heavy objects, with a valid driver''s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous masonry experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and documents.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Valid driver's license.

Mason Duties and Responsibilities

• Construct and repair walls
• Read and interpret blueprints and other documents to determine the specifications of a project
• Mix, apply, and spread mortar and other adhesives
• Cut and shape bricks, stone, and other materials to be used in a project
• Use specialized tools and equipment such as chisels, hammers, and saws to complete projects
• Ensure that all projects are completed in accordance with safety regulations and standards
• Perform other tasks as requested

Mason Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Mason or related field preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other documents
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Good problem-solving skills
