Accurus Aerospace Corporation is seeking a meticulous Masker to apply masking materials for coatings and finishes on aerospace parts. You will read blueprints to determine prep work and ensure surfaces to be coated are protected with tape, paper or plugs.
You will use precision cutting tools and measuring devices to shape masking accurately, inspect work for accuracy, follow safety procedures, and attend on-site shifts as required. This role starts with a three-week day-shift training.
Maskers ensure the application of painting or other coatings is exact - precisely what our customers require. Maskers review blueprints to accurately identify the prep work needed for processing parts, and they apply masking (tape, paper, plugs) to prevent the application of paint or other processing on surfaces that shouldn't be coated. Maskers verify part cleanliness and damage-free surfaces to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
This position is classified as safety-sensitive.
If selected for this role, you will be required to complete all assigned online training courses prior to beginning work on the shop floor.
Your first day of orientation will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Following orientation, you will complete the remaining online training from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Once you transition to the shop floor, you will participate in a three-week, day-shift training period under the guidance of the lead masker.
Upon successful completion of training and based on supervisor assessment, you will then begin your regular assigned shift.
