Job summary

WEBTOON Entertainment is seeking a contractor to validate content maps and reading paths for Marvel-related reading experiences. You will apply deep comics fandom to ensure canon-consistent paths, entry points, and story connections for readers of varying Marvel familiarity.

The role is a part-time, contract assignment (5 months) with ~15–25 hours per week, paid hourly in USD. You will collaborate remotely with U.S. teams and provide rationale for decisions with milestone-based deliverables.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated deep expertise in Marvel Comics.
• Working knowledge of Marvel continuity (e.g., key Avengers, Spider-Man, X-Men, and event arcs).
• Comfortable working in structured tools (spreadsheets, shared documents) and providing feedback for engineering/data teams.

Responsibilities

• Review reading orders proposed by the team across dimensions (character, arcs, writer runs, events, eras) and refine them for canon, narrative quality, and reader experience.
• Validate issue-level sequencing within each reading path and flag confusing or spoilery orders; define canonical entry points with rationale.
• Provide concise editorial rationale for each reading path, highlighting intended experience and key considerations for readers.
• Assess audience and reading complexity to ensure recommendations suit different Marvel familiarity levels.
• Map connective tissue between events/arcs/runs to keep readers aligned through the catalog and document key continuity anchors.
