Job summary

Tommy Bahama in Charlotte, NC is seeking dedicated hospitality team members to bring the island spirit to guests. You will master food and beverage menus, verify IDs for alcohol service, manage stock levels, and maintain a clean, upbeat dining space to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong service standards, and a friendly, professional environment across shifts.

Qualifications

• Guest service experience or aptitude.
• Knowledge of food & beverage menus including ingredients and prep.
• Ability to identify guests and verify IDs when alcohol is ordered.
• Strong inventory and stocking skills for perishables and spirits.
• Maintain a clean, safe, professional and upbeat environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide island-inspired service and make guests feel at home.
• Demonstrate knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits; explain menu items.
• Verify government IDs for alcohol service per state/federal law.
• Maintain stock levels and place orders based on projected business needs.
• Create a welcoming, safe, and energetic dining atmosphere.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Bring the island spirit to life by making every guest feel at home
• Possess complete knowledge of all food and beverage menus - including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation. Possess knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits
• Verify proper government-issued identification of Guests when alcohol is ordered as required by state and federal law
• Maintain proper stock levels (including inventory control and ordering) of perishables and spirits according to projected business
• Help create a clean, safe, professional and upbeat environment

REQUIREMENTS

• Lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently
• Bending/stooping/kneeling required - frequently
• Routine standing for duration of shift
• Safely Maneuvering the following types of equipment or machinery: Hand cart, blenders, knives, slices, wine keys and other tools provided to complete work
• Scheduled shifts determined by business needs
