Job summary

Veriipro is seeking a data platform engineer to develop, enhance, and maintain Markit EDM (Opus EDM) solutions and related ETL workflows in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with senior developers, optimize data integration and transformation processes, perform code reviews, provide production support, and ensure data quality across development and production environments.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Markit EDM (Opus EDM) solutions and workflows.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to support data sourcing, transformation, integration, and mastering requirements.
• Analyze existing data workflows and identify opportunities to improve platform performance, stability, and maintainability.
• Work closely with senior developers and technical stakeholders on platform enhancements and data management initiatives.
• Review existing code and ETL workflows and participate in code reviews and quality improvement activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data, ETL, and application issues across development and production environments.
• Provide production support and participate in ongoing operational activities as required.
• Contribute to data mastering, data integration, and enterprise data management projects.
• Perform data validation and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data processed through the platform.
• Follow established development standards, documentation practices, and deployment processes.
• Work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver solutions within a fast-paced development environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Markit EDM (Opus EDM).
• Advanced SQL Server development skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, data manipulation, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ETL workflows within Markit EDM.
• Strong understanding of data integration, data transformation, and data management concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting ETL and data-related issues in development and production environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and ramp up quickly on existing platforms and processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Informatica or similar ETL technologies.
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) platforms such as GoldenSource or Eagle.
• Experience working with financial services data or enterprise data platforms.
• Knowledge of data quality, data governance, and data mastering concepts.
• Experience participating in code reviews and software development quality initiatives.
