Job summary

Dow Jones’s MarketWatch internship in New York City offers a reporting experience in the Midtown Manhattan newsroom this summer. Interns work full-time, hybrid, reporting on markets, economics and personal finance, under editors and reporters’ guidance.

You will monitor important news moments, write timely articles, cover breaking developments, and contribute to enterprise stories while benefiting from mentor pairing and professional development sessions.

Qualifications

• Completed at least two years of undergraduate study; journalism, communications, economics or related fields preferred.
• Interest in markets, business and the economy; strong writing and collaboration skills.
• Ability to report quickly and write cleanly under deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the most important news moments of the day and spot money and investing angles.
• Report and write timely and impactful articles on economic and financial topics.
• Cover breaking developments and unpack events for our audience.
• Contribute research and reporting for longer enterprise journalism stories.
