Terracon is seeking a Proposal Support specialist based in Charleston or Greenville, SC, to assist the creation and customization of SOQs and proposals for project opportunities. You will edit resumes, project descriptions, and management plans to strengthen messaging and win potential.

The role involves market research, content organization, and collaboration with the communications team on collateral and video tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field, plus two years of marketing experience.
• Or six years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

General Responsibilities:

Provides proposal generation support for offices by maintaining collateral and creating customized content to meet project-specific requirements. Looking for a candidate who can start in January 2027 and is based out of Charleston or Greenville, SC.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

• Read, understand, and respond to project- and client-specific Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) and proposals.
• Write new content and edit resumes, project descriptions, and management plans to support proposal messaging.
• Research and gather information for proposals and presentations, including resumes, forms, and supporting documentation. Format, edit, and rewrite content as necessary to meet project requirements.
• Use Pursuit Project Plans to organize information, deadlines, and action items for office pursuit teams.
• Conduct market research on clients and project pursuits to provide new insights, strengthen team knowledge, and support win strategies.
• Organize and maintain a content library of resumes, project descriptions, photographs, standard narratives, and submitted SOQs/proposals.
• Organize events and trade shows.
• Develop local and regional marketing collateral and assist the communications team with video production and editing as needed.
• Provide data entry for CRM systems and vendor forms.
• Update resumes and project capsules.
• Assist with proofreading, editing, and formatting.
• Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning and report any safety issues or concerns to management.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field, plus two years of marketing and communications experience; or, in lieu of a degree, six years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign.
• Strong time management skills.
• Understanding of the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
