Job summary

Title Nine is seeking a Marketing Specialist to support daily email and SMS campaigns, manage calendars, and help drive retention marketing efforts from our Emeryville, CA office. The role combines project management, testing, scheduling, and creative review to maximize engagement and conversions.

Based in Emeryville with a Friday remote option, you’ll partner with Planning, Merchandising, Marketing, and Creatives to execute campaigns that support our business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a marketing role, preferably digital marketing.
• Familiarity with HTML coding; experience with ESP and email campaigns is a plus.

• Develop and execute email and SMS campaigns and calendar.
• Manage production, briefs, and creative review for campaigns.
• Collaborate across Planning, Merchandising, Marketing, and Creative.
• Build and optimize batch sends, automations, and transactional emails.

About the Role

T9 is looking for a Marketing Specialist to join our team supporting the day-to-day execution of all email and sms campaigns including project management, testing and scheduling daily email blasts, and automated programs. The Marketing Specialist will contribute to the planning and execution of Title Nine’s retention marketing efforts (Email, SMS) that deliver against our business goals. They’ll be based out of our Emeryville, CA office Monday through Thursday with the ability to work remotely on Friday.

Key responsibilities include:

• Create and support email and SMS strategy, calendar and testing plans
• Support the production and execution of retention marketing campaigns including maintaining Email/SMS calendar, setting up and managing due dates, confirming inventory, writing briefs, reviewing/approving creative and coding emails
• Partner with Planning, Merchandising, Marketing and Creative on campaigns that support the business and marketing goals
• Build, deploy, maintain and optimize batch sends, resends, automations and journeys within the platform
• Build, deploy and maintain automated transactional and triggered emails
• Run and report on A/B tests within channels and optimize based on learnings
• Update triggered/automated lifecycle triggers seasonally or as needed to support promotions
• Review reporting & analysis of campaign performance, sharing insights and recommendations

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in a marketing role, preferably digital marketing
• Experience working for a Retailer/eCommerce business a plus
• Experience working with an ESP (Email Service Provider) and project management software a plus
• Maintain a high sense of urgency to drive daily and weekly retention initiatives, and implement last-minute changes as needed
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Familiarity with HTML coding
