A top global consulting firm seeks a primarily remote Marketing Program Manager on a contract basis to work with its go-to-market team to assess and coordinate a stream of content opportunities proposed by the various business units, playing a critical function in the management of cross-team collaboration and communication between four fast-moving working groups within the marketing and sales organization.

Role

You'll ensure alignment, visibility, and accountability on deliverables. You will facilitate workflow across teams, manage timelines, surface dependencies, and flag potential bottlenecks. This role leans heavily into marketing operations and trafficking, helping keep projects on track and making sure no opportunity or task falls through the cracks. Beyond shepherding, however, you'll be relied upon to understand and even recommend appropriate marketing channels for discrete initiatives, as well as:

  • play a key role in campaign strategy and taking ideas to market across a range of thought leadership, digital and social channels.
  • determine the appropriate target audience and the optimal allocation of marketing resources across platforms and channels (including all earned, own and paid channels) to reach the target audience and achieve business goals.
  • work with the team of editorial specialists, digital marketers and design / production resources to ensure the timely execution of the agreed marketing program for each content initiative. (Note, this role will not be responsible for output, but will collaborate with a center of excellence, comms and PR partners to have content created and/or repurposed for the appropriate channels.)

The ideal candidate has extensive publishing and promotion experience across multiple channels including print, online, social, video, podcasts, etc.

The role requires an experienced marketing professional to advise the various consulting practices and regional marketing teams on content marketing strategies and best practices for achieving business objectives. You must be capable of making business decisions with regard to the appropriate marketing motions and must be able to support and defend those decisions using data and marketing best practices. This role will collaborate with numerous stakeholders and manage multiple priorities to ensure that content marketing efforts deliver on both industry-based and service-line based needs and objectives.

How You'll Help Achieve Mutual Success

  • Work with the US go-to-market team and the global Content Center of Excellence to assess the content needs and requests of the business units and to make business decisions with regard to the best channels and outlets for publication of content assets in production. Content types include executive insights white papers, special reports, slide decks, surveys, website copy, videos, podcasts, and webinars.
  • Advise on strategy and professional services industry campaign best practices to ensure that each region has a sound marketing approach.
  • Collaborate with Digital marketing CoE on implementation of the agreed tactics.
  • Work with the digital marketing CoE to analyze in-market results for completed content marketing initiatives and develop reporting on same. Communicate with stakeholders on results, lessons learned and implications for future content marketing projects.

Education & Experience

  • Prior experience in a global consulting firm is desirable, as will be professional services in general.
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, business, journalism, or a related field.
  • A minimum 7+ years of content marketing or integrated communications experience.
  • Proven expertise and track record for developing and delivering successful content marketing campaigns across all channels, ideally for a range of thought leadership content types including written reports, article and multimedia content such as videos and podcasts.
  • Knowledge of website applications, social media channels, project management, analytics tools, social media, email applications a plus.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization such as a partnership.
