Job summary

Collette Travel Service Inc. in Pawtucket, RI, is seeking a Marketing Operations Manager, MarTech to lead the marketing technology ecosystem in collaboration with Technology and cross-functional teams.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Digital Strategy, you will drive lead management, customer engagement, lifecycle marketing, and data-driven performance through marketing automation, CDP, and CRM initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in Marketing Technology, Marketing Operations, Digital Marketing, or related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of marketing technology tools, including marketing automation, CDP, analytics, consent management, content platforms, customer data tools, attribution tools, and campaign operations.
  • Demonstrated success as a marketing stakeholder or cross-functional partner in technology-enabled initiatives.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into requirements, workflows, testing plans, documentation, and operational processes.
  • Experience with CDPs, consent management, marketing and CRM automation platforms; HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus.
  • Experience working within Agile, project management or process improvement environments.
  • Experience with HubSpot Marketing and Sales Hub workflows, forms, lists, segmentation, lead routing, email automation, campaign setup, and platform governance.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, workflows, process documentation, testing plans, issue summaries, and scalable operating procedures.
  • Experience supporting QA and UAT for marketing systems, campaigns, journeys, forms, landing pages, and connected experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a marketing stakeholder and requirements lead for marketing automation, email service platforms, CRM and CDP initiatives; coordinate between Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, and Technology teams.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance lead management, customer engagement, and lifecycle marketing capabilities that support business growth.
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness through automation, process optimization, reporting, segmentation, and data-driven decision making.
  • Represent marketing priorities in CDP and marketing technology initiatives; define needs, support testing, and facilitate adoption.
  • Shape future-state CDP, CRM, and marketing automation strategies, including journeys, workflows, lead management, and data management best practices.
  • Champion user adoption and effective utilization of marketing technology through collaboration, training, and process improvement.
  • Support continuous enhancement of marketing automation capabilities and performance with Technology and other stakeholders.
  • Bring knowledge of key marketing technology categories to support project execution owned by stakeholders inside/outside Marketing.
  • Translate marketing goals into clear requirements, workflows, testing expectations, documentation, and actionable next steps for owning teams.
  • Maintain Marketing-facing documentation clarifying workflows, handoffs, dependencies, testing expectations, business rules, risks, and launch readiness.

Job Summary:

Working under the strategic direction of the Associate Director, Digital Strategy, the Marketing Operations Manager, MarTech is responsible for managing and optimizing the marketing technology ecosystem in partnership with Technology and other cross-functional teams. This role connects Marketing, Technology, Data & Analytics and Sales to improve marketing processes, strengthen platform capabilities, and enable data-driven performance.

By aligning business, technology, data, and operational needs, this role translates Marketing priorities into clear requirements, scalable processes, and actionable solutions. The role helps ensure the marketing technology ecosystem effectively supports lead generation, customer engagement, campaign execution, lifecycle marketing, measurement, and revenue growth. This role helps drive the execution, platform and campaign readiness, documentation, testing, optimization, and cross-functional alignment required to improve the reliability, consistency, and scalability of Collette’s marketing technology capabilities.

Primary Functions:

  • Serve as a marketing stakeholder and subject matter expert for marketing automation, email service platforms, and related CRM and CDP initiatives, acting as a counterpart between Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, and Technology teams.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance lead management, customer engagement, and lifecycle marketing capabilities that support business growth objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness through automation, process optimization, reporting, segmentation, and data-driven decision making.
  • Represent marketing priorities and requirements in CDP and marketing technology initiatives, collaborating with business and technical teams to define needs, support testing, and facilitate successful implementation and adoption.
  • Help shape future-state CDP, CRM, and marketing automation strategies, including marketing journeys, workflows, lead management processes, and data management best practices.
  • Champion user adoption and effective utilization of marketing technology capabilities through ongoing collaboration, training, communication, and process improvement efforts.
  • Partner with Technology and other business stakeholders to support continuous enhancement and optimization of marketing automation capabilities and performance.
  • Bring strong working knowledge of key marketing technology categories including automation, CRM, customer data, consent, attribution, content, events, and analytics platforms to support execution of projects led by stakeholders within and outside of Marketing.
  • Translate Marketing goals, campaign needs, customer experience requirements, and operational processes into clear business requirements, workflows, testing expectations, documentation, and actionable next steps for the appropriate owning teams.
  • Maintain Marketing-facing documentation that clarifies workflows, handoffs, dependencies, testing expectations, business rules, risks, launch readiness, and operational processes.
Marketing Data, Campaign Operations and Journey Support
  • Support customer data collection, audience activation, lead management, lifecycle journeys, and marketing automation initiatives from a Marketing stakeholder perspective.
  • Partner with Marketing Automation, Data & Analytics, Technology, and Digital Production teams to improve campaign readiness, journey execution, customer data handoffs, and operational consistency.
  • Configure marketing platforms to support campaign execution, lead management, customer engagement, and personalization.
QA, Tracking & Compliance Support
  • Partner with Data & Analytics, Technology, and Marketing teams to support Marketing’s understanding of tracking needs, reporting readiness, privacy requirements, consent considerations, and compliance-related impacts.
  • Support business-side QA, UAT, and release readiness by helping define test scenarios, document issues, validate expected Marketing outcomes, and confirm requirements are met before launch.
  • Serve as a trusted Marketing counterpart to peer leads across Marketing Systems, Marketing Automation, Digital Production, Data & Analytics, Technology, and external partners.
  • Bring strong technical acumen to marketing initiatives by helping assess requirements, clarify dependencies, troubleshoot issues, and translate technical considerations into practical Marketing decisions, while partnering with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Bring a player-coach mentality, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
  • Operate with a curious and entrepreneurial mindset, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and willingly step in to solve problems, drive progress, and deliver results in a fast-moving, evolving environment
  • Support the continued maturity of Marketing’s technology-enabled capabilities by promoting clear processes, documentation, knowledge sharing, and operational consistency across stakeholder groups

Knowledge & Skills:

  • 5 years+ experience in Marketing Technology, Marketing Operations, Digital Marketing, or related discipline
  • Strong understanding of marketing technology tools, including marketing automation, CDP, analytics, consent management, content platforms, customer data tools, attribution tools, and campaign operations. Working knowledge of CRM principles.
  • Demonstrated success serving as a marketing stakeholder, requirements lead, or cross-functional partner in technology-enabled initiatives where system ownership and technical implementation remained with dedicated Technology, Data & Analytics, or Engineering teams
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into requirements, workflows, testing plans, documentation, and operational processes
  • Experience with customer data platforms (CDPs), consent management, marketing, and CRM automation platforms. HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus.
  • Experience working within Agile, project management or process improvement environments
  • Experience working with HubSpot Marketing and Sales Hub, including workflows, forms, lists, segmentation, lead routing, email automation, campaign setup, and platform governance.
  • Experience supporting CRM implementations, enhancements, or adoption efforts as a business-side Marketing stakeholder, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or a comparable enterprise CRM platform.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, workflows, process documentation, testing plans, issue summaries, and scalable operating procedures.
  • Experience supporting business-side QA and UAT for marketing systems, campaigns, marketing journeys, forms, landing pages, and connected experiences.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate data, tracking, handoff, reporting, or workflow issues that impact Marketing execution, customer experience, or campaign performance.
  • Ability to manage timelines, dependencies, risks, follow-up actions, and cross-functional communication across Marketing, Sales, Data & Analytics, Technology, and external partners.
  • Working knowledge of customer data management, audience segmentation, lifecycle marketing, lead management, and marketing operations best practices.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in practical, business-friendly terms and support adoption across teams.
  • High attention to detail, strong documentation habits, and a governance mindset focused on consistency, accuracy, compliance, scalability, and operational clarity.
  • Embraces a mindset of curiosity and continuous learning, actively exploring and leveraging AI and other emerging technologies to improve processes and drive efficiency across the organization.
