Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead integrated programs across digital, owned, paid, and earned media. Reporting to the Marketing Director, Private Markets, you’ll collaborate with multiple leaders and expose results to senior executives.

You’ll support content development, sales enablement, and event marketing with a focus on timely delivery and cross‑functional coordination. The role requires PM skills, strong writing, and a proactive, creative mindset.

Qualifications

  • University or college degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or journalism/media.
  • 4–6 years’ work experience in a marketing function, or in a related field.
  • Experience within investment management, specifically private markets is useful but not essential.
  • Excellent communications skills with strong ability to create, compose and edit written materials that are impactful and compelling.
  • Results oriented with strong project management skills and proven ability to develop, recommend, and implement marketing and communications plans and strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and build consensus effectively, and to collaborate with senior executives.
  • Knowledge of marketing communications principles for both digital and print mediums.
  • Strong design understanding with the ability to provide direction to internal design resources and/or external designers for the design and execution of marketing materials.
  • Hands‑on and proactive, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • High level of creativity combined with strong business sense to deliver dynamic and effective messages and solutions.
  • Career oriented with a demonstrated track record of success and drive to succeed.
  • A highly motivated, driven and energetic individual, who thrives on juggling multiple projects and delivers to a high standard

Reporting to the Marketing Director, Private Markets, this role is integral to the ongoing development and management of integrated marketing and communication initiatives to support Manulife Investment Management's institutional marketing activity globally.

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the timely execution of comprehensive and integrated marketing programs across both digital and owned, paid and earned media.

Strong project management and the ability to manage multiple collaborators is a must, alongside a solid understanding of digital marketing techniques. You will be working under the direction of multiple marketing leaders. You will have exposure across many divisions and levels of the organization, and accordingly, must be comfortable dealing with a wide cross section of personalities including internal clients, current and prospective external clients, and senior executives.

Salary range is expected to be between

$92,900.00 CAD - $142,900.00 CAD
