The Broward County government seeks a Marketing Manager for Port Everglades to lead marketing, communications, and public outreach efforts. You will manage visuals, videos, social channels, and the port’s marketing strategy, coordinating events and materials across multiple audiences.
The position requires a degree in marketing or related field and several years in marketing, PR, or events, with supervisory experience preferred. A valid Florida driver’s license is required.
The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for a Marketing Manager at Port Everglades.
Works under the general supervision of the Public Information Officer (PIO). Sets and creates the visuals (digital and print), social media content and supports the port’s marketing-communications strategy. This position requires a high level of organization, proficiency in video production and social communications, the ability to build and foster positive relationships with internal and external clients, and proven good judgement. Specifically, this position will:
Develops and implements a business development and/or public relations plan for an agency.
Works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in marketing, business administration, public relations or closely related field.
Requires four (4) years in marketing, advertising, special events coordination, or public relations work or closely related experience. Requires one (1) year of supervisory experience depending upon area of assignment.
Ability to secure and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License at the time of appointment and for the duration of employment.
Ability to secure and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification card (TWIC) within 60 days of employment and for the duration of employment.
Ability to secure and maintain a valid Port Security Identification Badge for the duration of employment.

Supports supervisor in the planning and implementation of all of the agency's marketing, public relations, advertising, social and new media, community outreach and reports programs; supports and supervises the agency's marketing efforts, including trade shows, conferences and presentations.
Manages agency’s website, including development of new content, design and updating of information. Coordinates and supervises web-hosting vendor; manages agency publications from development to printing; coordinates and supervises publishing vendor.
Prioritizes workflow for social media and marketing materials
Communicates marketing activities; responds to public, inter-agency, and external requests for information.
Follows County purchasing processes
Writes marketing and strategic business plans, creates presentations, and produces various reports on behalf of the agency for a wide variety of audiences.
Supervises and develops accurate and meaningful copy for publications, brochures, social media and other marketing materials.
Performs related work as assigned.

Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.
