We believe in supporting the whole lives and careers of our employees. That’s why, through excellent benefits and opportunities, and a genuinely inclusive and collaborative environment, we create the space for you and your career to flourish.

As an employee-owned company, we build toward the next decade, not just the next quarter. Our independence means you answer to great ideas and client success, not short-term profits, while our ESOP program allows you to build long-term wealth and ownership in the company. At Woodruff Sawyer, you own your future.

How We Work

We are excited to offer a hybrid workplace that we believe is a win for our people, for our business, and for our clients. Our policy has been carefully and thoughtfully designed to combine the benefits of collaborating, learning and mentoring, and bonding with our teams in-person while enjoying the flexibility of working remotely up to 3 days a week.

All roles are hybrid unless otherwise indicated on the job post. Find our office locations here.

About the Role

Join Woodruff Sawyer as a Practice Marketing Manager and make a significant impact in growing brand awareness, improving client engagement, and generating qualified leads. You will collaborate with practice leaders, producers, and the marketing team to implement strategic marketing plans across different channels including events, paid ads, social media, thought leadership, and email marketing.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with practice leaders and producers to strategize and build multi-channel marketing plans to promote practice areas and their growth goals.
  • Collaborate with individual producers to build out personal brands, including thought leadership, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Develop coordinated cross-practice campaigns with practice and growth leaders to increase cross-sell opportunities.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, requirements, and competitor offerings to design marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with internal marketing teams, including Events, Social Media and Email Marketing, Content and Creative, and PR or individuals with equivalent experience.
  • Develop content marketing strategies for practice areas, suggesting topics and crafting content in collaboration with subject matter experts, marketing team copywriters, and freelancers.
  • Analyze marketing data to demonstrate how thought leadership, events, and email marketing campaigns generate qualified leads and drive engagement.
  • Build relationships within sales teams, becoming a trusted thought partner and serving as the liaison between the Marketing team and Practice Areas.
  • Ensure team members are applying marketing resources and tools effectively.
  • Provide support to the RFP Manager as needed.

This job is for you, if…

  • You have a proven track record of building successful partnerships with marketing and sales leadership to craft effective programs.
  • You are a versatile marketer with experience across multiple channels and possess strong writing skills to engage clients and prospects.
  • You are resourceful, take initiative, solve problems, and offer solutions.
  • You can multi-task, understand urgency, and adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable engaging with collaborators and senior leaders.
  • You enjoy helping sales teams build relationships and training them on new tools and tactics.
  • You love being hands-on and doing whatever it takes to get the job done.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in lead generation, outbound marketing, content marketing, email marketing, and/or event marketing, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Experience in the insurance or a similar professional service-based industry and/or selling or marketing to the C-suite is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, and/or other marketing automation tools is required.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.

At Woodruff Sawyer we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
