JOB DESCRIPTION:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement short and long-term strategic marketing plans and new product launch plans, objectives, and tactics that lead to market leadership for core products.
- Maintain a high knowledge of the scientific, technical, rational, and emotional differences between Abbott and competitor products, ensuring the Sales Force has a strong working knowledge.
- Lead open, consistent, and clear communication between Marketing and Sales.
- Assist the CRM Education Department in facilitating product in-servicing, training, and support for customers.
- Build strong working relationships with the sales force to ensure effective execution of marketing programs.
- Stay updated on government and industry trends related to the product portfolio.
- Build short and long-term sales models based on a solid understanding of the competitive marketplace to support the Strategic and Operating Plans.
- Effectively develop and manage the promotional budget to deliver strategic marketing plans and sales objectives.
- Build enthusiasm for your product portfolio throughout the organization.
- Organize and lead sales conferences related to your product portfolio.
- Partner with the sales force in the preparation and submission of tenders.
- Identify ways to improve the effectiveness of marketing and the wider organization.
- Ensure maintenance of company property/assets.
- Execute responsibilities according to Abbott Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform other related functions and responsibilities as directed by the Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
Industry Experience:
- At least 3-4 years of solid Sales/Marketing experience within the medical devices or related field.
- Proven 2-3 years of marketing experience.
