You will build a scalable demand engine, collaborate with Product, Solutioning, Growth, and Sales Enablement, and shape the market perception of Aokah's Run and data-driven platform.

  • AI in marketing: you use AI across research, content, campaigns, and analysis delivering outputs of a five-person team.

Job description

United States/United Kingdom (Remote) with regular travel to clients and industry events

Function

Marketing, within Growth, Sales & Customer Experience

Reports to

Chief Customer Officer, with a standing working line to the CEO on brand and strategy

Role Type

Full time. Player coach with one direct report and a bench of external partners.

Works with

CEO, Product, Solutioning and Growth, Sales Enablement, Customer Success, Technology, Finance, and Talent

About Aokah®

Aokah® helps enterprises Globalize Work with Confidence. Our AI native execution intelligence and orchestration platform, supported by Forward Deployed Experts, helps enterprises explore, build, run, and optimize Global Operations, including Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and Global Business Services (GBS).

Our portfolio runs across the full lifecycle: Explorer for board defensible decisions, Builder for execution governance, Optimizer for value realization, and Run, a data rich application for leaders operating multiple centers.

We combine technology, expertise, and ecosystem orchestration to enable better decisions, stronger execution, measurable business outcomes, and greater operational resilience.

We are accountable for the outcome, and we govern the partner ecosystem that delivers it. That is the promise you take to market.

The Role

Aokah® is launching Run into a market that does not yet have a name for it. Marketing has to create that name and the pipeline at the same time. Your mandate is to create the category, then convert it into qualified pipeline that our Solutioning and Growth team can close.

This role is measured on pipeline, not on activity. Brand, content, events, and analyst relations are instruments, and each one is judged by whether it produces meetings with the right buyers: GBS Heads, Transformation Heads, CFOs, CIOs, CTOs, and COOs, plus their direct reports. That is two motions, one buyer set, and one marketing leader. Explore, Build, and Optimize sell as application and intelligence plus Forward Deployed Experts. Run sells as software into a budget the client already spends on analyst time, benchmarking subscriptions, governance tooling, and remedial consulting.

This is a builder’s seat, not a steward’s. The person who fits has created a category and carried a pipeline number in the same job. You will have one direct hire and a bench of external partners across content and design, demand generation operations, PR and analyst relations, and event execution. That is the design, not a stage on the way to a department. Your leverage comes from choosing partners well, briefing them tightly, and holding them to output. You will do the work as well as direct it.

What You Will Own (in priority order)
1. The Run launch
  • Own the full launch of Run, the company’s top product priority: positioning, naming discipline across the lifecycle, and the pricing and packaging narrative.
  • Build the cost displacement story for a budget clients already spend on analyst time, benchmarking subscriptions, governance tooling, and remedial consulting.
  • Create launch assets and support design partner recruitment.
  • Lead the sequence from design partner preview to commercial release.
2. Category and differentiation
  • Translate the company narrative into language buyers repeat: a category that is clearly not benchmarking, not a PMO tool, and not a consulting practice.
  • Build and maintain the competitive narrative against the Big Four or any, and the data subscription players, so Aokah is never filed under “another analytics platform”
  • Set the category narrative and industry voice with the CEO, and make it travel across every channel, asset, and conversation.
3. Demand engine and pipeline
  • Own the full path from audience to accepted sales opportunity: ICP and account targeting, campaign design, and nurture.
  • Run the website as a conversion asset, along with SEO, outbound support, and event strategy and follow through.
  • Run lifecycle campaigns that turn the product trial base into qualified opportunities.
  • Own attribution discipline in Zoho CRM so the pipeline number is defensible.
4. Product marketing
  • Work alongside Product on messaging, launch readiness, and competitive intelligence.
  • Build sales assets for a data rich application that the field will actually use.
  • Translate a product that computes things into value a CFO signs.
5. Proof and visibility
  • Lead research led content, proprietary indices, and the Aokah® Wisdom Series.
  • Own analyst and industry relationships, including HFS Research, SSON, and APEX, along with awards.
  • Build the customer evidence that shortens sales cycles, with every claim routed through the named validators before it goes out.
Who You Will Work With
  • Chief Customer Officer: Your manager; pipeline targets and priorities; validation of data and statistics before external use.
  • Founder, Chairman and CEO: Category narrative, brand decisions and industry visibility.
  • Product: Launch readiness, roadmap truth and product claims that survive scrutiny.
  • Solutioning and Growth: Target accounts, campaign feedback and opportunity acceptance.
  • Customer Success: References, case evidence and expansion stories.
  • Sales Enablement: Assets the field will actually use.
  • Technology: Product data, website and CRM instrumentation.
  • Finance: Budget, pricing inputs and any financial claim.
  • Talent: Employer brand and your own hire.

Tools in use: Zoho CRM for pipeline and attribution, ClickUp for weekly governance.

Skills This Role Demands
  • Category creation: you have created or reframed a category, and buyers, analysts, or competitors adopted your language.
  • Pipeline ownership: you carry a number and can walk through the mechanics behind it: targeting, campaign design, conversion rates, and attribution.
  • Launch leadership: you take software to market end to end, including into budgets that must be won from something else.
  • Product fluency: you can read a product spec and find the three things a buyer will care about.
  • AI in the marketing function: you use AI across research, content production, campaign operations, and analysis, producing output that looks like a team of five.
  • Partner leverage: you choose partners well, brief them tightly, and hold them to output.
  • Narrative conviction: you hold a clear point of view in front of strong senior leaders and buyers.
What You Bring
  • 10+ years of B2B marketing, with the last several spent selling complex, high consideration offerings to CFOs, GBS and operations leaders, and their direct reports.
  • A category you helped create or reframe, with evidence that buyers, analysts, or competitors adopted the language.
  • A pipeline number you personally carried, with the targeting, campaign design, conversion rates, and attribution you built to hit it.
  • A software launch you ran end to end, into a market where the budget already existed and had to be taken from something else.
  • Fluency in both software marketing and expert led services marketing. Aokah® sells both, often to the same account.
  • Credibility with technical and data heavy products.
  • A working command of AI in the marketing function itself.
  • Willingness to work as a player coach with one direct report and a partner bench.
  • Hands on with CRM, attribution, and dashboards, ideally Zoho CRM.
  • Location and working pattern. Based in the United States, the United Kingdom, or India with the right to work in the relevant country, and comfortable collaborating across regions with regular overlap with US Eastern Time
Strongly preferred
  • Exposure to GCC, GBS, shared services, sourcing, location strategy or procurement buyers
  • Experience at a company between early revenue and scale.
  • Analyst relations with HFS Research, Everest Group, or similar firms.
  • Marketing a platform sold alongside consulting, managed services, or outsourcing
  • Marketing AI, automation, or data platforms
  • Experience with industry awards and research led content
  • Experience in an early stage or scaling company where you built the marketing engine yourself

What we do not require: a large team in the past, an agency pedigree, or a degree in marketing.

This role is not for the brand and events marketer with a strong deck and no number. It may not be the right fit if your success is described mainly in impressions, followers, awards, or content volume; if you have always had a team and an agency doing the work; if you cannot explain how a lead became an opportunity in your last role; or if you treat product marketing as collateral production.

Your First Year
  • 30 days: Learn the buyer, not the company. Sit in on live pursuits and customer calls. Audit the demand engine end to end: trial base, campaign history, website, attribution, and asset library. Report what works, what stops, and why.
  • 60 days: Land the category claim and Run positioning with Product, Go to Market, and the CEO. Decide the partner bench and the profile of your first hire. Rebuild the demand plan on evidence.
  • 90 days: Ship the first campaign under the new positioning. Publish the Run launch plan with dates and owners. Put the pipeline scorecard in front of the leadership team and commit to it.
  • 12 months: Run is in market. Marketing sourced pipeline is a reliable, forecastable line. Category language appears in buyer and analyst conversations without prompting. Your direct hire is in seat and productive.

Performance is measured on marketing sourced pipeline and opportunities accepted by the Solutioning and Growth team. Targets are set jointly with the Chief Customer Officer and the Head of Finance at offer stage, and they become your first quarter operating plan.

How We Hire
  • Working session: Ninety minutes on the Run positioning problem: the category claim, the buyer, three proof points, and the first campaign. We judge the thinking, not the polish.
  • The number conversation: Walk us through your last pipeline model end to end: sources, conversion rates, cycle time, what you changed, and what it moved.
  • Product session: Thirty minutes with Product on Run. Can you find the value a CFO buys?
  • Field session: A session with Growth and Customer Success on whether the field would use what you build.
  • CEO conversation: Hold a point of view on brand and narrative with the CEO.
  • References: Two former managers and one former sales peer, focused on execution speed.
What You Will Get
  • Competitive base salary and performance incentive, aligned to local market practice
  • Meaningful equity in an investor backed growth company, with the range shared early in the process
  • A standing working line to the CEO and a close relationship with the leadership team
  • The opportunity to launch Run, define a new category, and build Aokah® marketing as the company scales
