Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Marketing Manager based in Canada.

The Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies designed to drive sales pipeline growth, strengthen brand visibility, and accelerate business performance. This hands‑on leadership role focuses on B2B marketing within the IT solutions and Value Added Reseller (VAR) sector. You will oversee multichannel campaigns, manage strategic co-marketing initiatives with technology vendors, and transform a diverse portfolio of hardware, software, cloud, and IT services into compelling market propositions. Working closely with sales leadership, you will align marketing activities with revenue objectives and measure their impact through data-driven reporting. The role offers significant autonomy, direct influence on commercial outcomes, and opportunities to shape marketing strategy within a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. It is ideal for a results-oriented professional who combines strategic thinking with practical execution.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop marketing strategy: Define and execute a comprehensive marketing plan aligned with sales targets, business growth objectives, and overall commercial priorities.

  • Drive demand generation: Plan, launch, and optimize multichannel campaigns across email, paid and organic social media, SEO/SEM, webinars, and events to generate qualified leads among IT decision-makers.

  • Manage vendor partnerships: Coordinate co-marketing initiatives with technology manufacturers, distributors, and software publishers, including market development funds (MDF), cooperative marketing budgets, campaign delivery, and performance reporting.

  • Strengthen product positioning: Develop clear, differentiated messaging for hardware, software, cloud solutions, and IT services, translating complex offerings into relevant customer benefits.

  • Oversee digital marketing: Manage the website, content calendar, and digital presence while producing or coordinating case studies, solution briefs, email campaigns, and sales enablement materials.

  • Align marketing and sales: Collaborate with account executives and sales leadership to define lead qualification criteria, nurture prospects, support account-based marketing (ABM), and engage strategic target accounts.

  • Track performance and ROI: Maintain marketing activities and lead data in CRM systems, analyze campaign results, and report on pipeline contribution, conversion performance, and return on investment.

  • Coordinate events and campaigns: Organize and support virtual and in-person events, vendor-sponsored activities, and customer engagement initiatives that strengthen relationships and generate opportunities.

  • Manage budgets and external resources: Oversee marketing expenditures, coordinate external agencies and freelancers, and allocate resources to maximize campaign effectiveness.

  • Maintain brand consistency: Ensure consistent messaging, visual identity, and customer experience across marketing channels and commercial touchpoints.

Requirements:
  • At least four years of B2B marketing experience, including direct experience in marketing for an IT Value Added Reseller (VAR).

  • Demonstrated experience managing co-marketing programs with technology vendors and distributors, including market development funds (MDF) and cooperative marketing budgets.

  • A proven track record of developing and executing campaigns that generate measurable sales pipeline and revenue.

  • Strong understanding of the IT solutions landscape, including hardware, software, cloud offerings, and managed or professional services, as well as how to market these solutions to IT decision-makers.

  • Practical experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems for campaign management, lead tracking, and performance reporting.

  • Excellent writing, communication, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment while balancing strategic planning with hands‑on campaign execution.

  • Experience marketing solutions from manufacturers such as Microsoft, Cisco, Dell, HP, Lenovo, or similar technology providers is an asset.

  • Familiarity with Zoho CRM, Zoho Campaigns, or comparable marketing and sales platforms is preferred.

  • Knowledge of account-based marketing, intent data tools, and strategies for engaging high-value target accounts is an advantage.

  • Experience marketing managed services or recurring revenue offerings, including monthly recurring revenue (MRR) and annual recurring revenue (ARR) models, is a plus.

  • Practical knowledge of paid media, SEO, and web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and LinkedIn Campaign Manager is beneficial.

  • Basic graphic design skills using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, or experience managing creative resources, are considered an asset.

Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation: Annual base salary ranging from CAD $90,000 to $120,000, plus performance-based bonuses.

  • Health benefits: Access to health benefits to support employee well‑being.

  • Fully remote work: Work remotely from anywhere in Canada.

  • Career advancement: Opportunities for professional development and career growth as the business expands.

  • Strategic ownership: Take the lead on marketing initiatives with direct visibility into sales pipeline performance and business growth.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with sales leadership, account executives, and technology partners to shape marketing strategy and execution.

  • Entrepreneurial environment: Join a high-growth team that values initiative, accountability, performance, and integrity.
