Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business development and capture teams to align marketing initiatives with strategic priorities and customer objectives.
  • Develop and execute content creation and social media strategy, digital marketing, and advertising campaigns that translate complex technologies and mission capabilities into clear value propositions for government audiences.
  • Manage website updates, content publishing, and performance optimization.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics (traffic, engagement, SEO) and recommend improvements.
  • Support event marketing, conferences, and industry engagement.

Job Description

Agile Defense is seeking a Marketing Manager with experience in the national security and defense industry. This role is responsible for planning and executing marketing initiatives that strengthen brand presence, support business development efforts, and communicate complex technical capabilities.

The ideal candidate combines strategic marketing thinking with hands‑on execution. This position works closely with leadership, business development teams, technical subject matter experts, and external partners to produce clear, compelling marketing strategy and materials, plan and execute events, build differentiated thought leadership, and the ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated and customer‑facing environment.

Education & Experience
  • 8-10 years of marketing experience, preferably in national security, defense, government contracting, or related sectors.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, SEO, Google Analytics, and social media platforms.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing proactive communications strategies in large, complex organizations or government environments.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with UX fundamentals or digital experience best practices.
  • Prior experience supporting DoW or federal IT modernization programs.
  • Experience advising senior leaders and operating as a trusted communications counselor.
Working Conditions
  • Hybrid position: standard sedentary work performed primarily at a computer workstation, including extended periods of screen time, keyboard/mouse use, and virtual collaboration with distributed teams and stakeholders.
  • No significant physical strength demands or adverse environmental conditions. Must be able to communicate effectively in virtual meetings, workshops, and presentations.
