Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design seeks a Marketing Manager for the Project Leaders division to elevate visibility, strengthen client relationships, and drive growth through integrated marketing plans.

You will partner with marketing, business development, and technical leaders to translate market priorities into actionable campaigns and high‑quality deliverables, including presentations and content that reflect client needs and firm strengths.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years in A/E/C marketing or professional services industry and knowledge of business development.
  • Demonstrates leadership, accountability, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent communication, writing, editing, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead execution of the annual marketing plan for the Project Leaders division.
  • Identify key technical experts and create relevant content and thought leadership pieces.
  • Oversee creation and distribution of conference and event materials and promotional swag.
  • Develop conference speaking submissions and presentations with technical leads.
  • Manage email and direct mail marketing campaigns and content creation.

Overview

The Marketing Manager for the Project Leaders division is responsible for elevating the division’s visibility, positioning and success within key markets and geographic regions. This role drives integrated marketing strategies that strengthen client relationships, enhance brand awareness and impact and support business growth.

Combining leadership, strategy and creativity, the Marketing Manager partners with marketing, business development and technical leaders to translate market priorities into actionable marketing plans. They are the lead in producing strategic, high-quality deliverables— presentations, campaigns, and content that reflect a deep understanding of client needs and firm strengths.

Acting as both a leader and collaborator, the Marketing Manager identifies go‑to‑market strategies, spearheads innovative campaigns, and ensures consistency, quality and alignment across all marketing initiatives and materials.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on the development and lead the execution of assigned components of the annual marketing plan for the Project Leaders division in partnership with marketing, technical leads and business development.
  • Identify key technical experts and partner with them to create relevant content and thought leadership pieces for online promotion.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of new Project Leaders conference and event booth materials, marketing materials and promotional swag as required.
  • Work with technical leads to author and develop conference speaking submissions and presentations as required.
  • Manage e‑mail and direct mail marketing campaigns for Project Leaders including content creation, quality control and recipient send lists as required.
  • Oversee maintaining new and existing content on the Project Leaders website in coordination with the social media team.
  • Collaborate on Project Leaders project photography requests, purchases and storage and track to the annual budget.
  • Liaise with the communications team on content writing, press releases and new hire announcements.
  • Partner in business development strategies to engage prospective clients, differentiated value propositions, and client relationship initiatives.
  • Manage quality control and QA/QC for Project Leaders marketing deliverables for clarity, quality and compliance.
  • Ensure consistent branding, messaging and visual identity across all materials.
  • Analyze research data related to clients, competitors and prospective markets ‑ share findings with business development and local leaders.
  • Participate in strategic planning in collaboration with firm leadership and business development team.
  • Develop and implement regional/market marketing strategies in alignment with firm‑wide and national market objectives.
  • Monitor legislative and/or regulatory activities that could affect the need for services.
  • Collaborate with other Marketing Leaders to share best practices and maintain consistency across offices.
  • Track marketing metrics to inform strategy and continuous improvement.
  • Manage workloads and deadlines to balance priorities across multiple initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative, creative, and positive team culture that supports professional growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership on workload planning, training, marketing standards and department goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 7+ years in A/E/C marketing or professional services industry and knowledge of business development.
  • In lieu of degree 8+ years of related experience.
  • Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification is an advantage, though not required.
  • Demonstrates leadership, accountability, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Builds strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Inspires creativity and continuous improvement within the marketing team.
  • Proven experience leading marketing efforts and executing on marketing plans.
  • Strong strategic thinking and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • High attention to quality of work and QA/QC.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Participation in industry events and professional organizations to develop a network of contacts and stay current with industry, client, and competitor activity.
  • Strong understanding of firm's business practices including financials, goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Embrace technology and ever‑advancing communications and organizational tools to support marketing's function.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job‑related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
