Marketing Manager

Location: Playa Vista, California (On-site, Full-Time)

Outpost is pioneering Earth return logistics for space. We're building vehicles that can return payloads from orbit safely and precisely - enabling faster space-based manufacturing, global delivery, and entirely new capabilities in the space economy. Our spacecraft is already backed by the U.S. government with multiple missions ahead. We’re a mission-focused team, building with urgency, grit, and care for the work we do and the people we do it with.

The Role

We’re looking for a Marketing Manager who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is excited to play a key supporting role in shaping Outpost’s public presence. This is a hands-on, detail-driven position where no task is too small - perfect for someone who loves to make things happen, move quickly, and bring order and creativity to execution.

You’ll work closely with our VP of Marketing to drive the day-to-day operations of our marketing function - managing social media, coordinating events, tracking industry trends, and supporting the delivery of high-impact campaigns and content.

What You’ll Do
Social Media & Content
  • Draft, schedule, and post social content across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Track engagement metrics and audience growth, and share insights for continuous improvement.
  • Support development of graphics, videos, and other marketing assets.
Event Coordination
  • Plan and manage logistics for conferences, trade shows, and company events.
  • Coordinate vendors, shipping, booth setups, and collateral production.
  • Capture photos and stories from events for use in internal and external content.
Analytics & Reporting
  • Maintain lightweight dashboards for campaign, social, and website performance.
  • Deliver monthly KPI reports and insights to the marketing and leadership teams.
Media & Communications
  • Track industry news, competitor activity, and press coverage related to Outpost.
  • Support outreach for media requests, awards, and speaking opportunities.
  • Maintain the media kit, asset library, and brand templates.
Internal Marketing & Operations
  • Manage the marketing calendar, budget tracking, and process documentation.
  • Support internal communications such as team newsletters and company updates.
  • Use AI and automation tools to streamline workflows, content generation, and reporting.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or event coordination
  • Comfort using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Grok, or other automation platforms to enhance productivity and creativity
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple moving pieces
  • Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills
  • Comfortable managing social media channels and tracking analytics
  • Proactive operator who gets things done - no task too small
  • Excited to grow with a fast-moving startup and take on increasing responsibility
Bonus:

Experience in aerospace, defense, or other technical industries

Compensation & Benefits
  • 115,000 – 130,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience
  • Incentive stock options
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life, short-term, and long-term disability coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • Catered daily lunch, snacks, and coffee
