Job summary

AAAS, based in Washington, DC, seeks a Marketing Coordinator to support the Marketing and Advertising team. You will assist campaigns, manage assets, coordinate conferences and events, and track performance to boost awareness and engagement across publishing programs.

The role requires 1–3 years in marketing, a Bachelor's in marketing or related field, and strong organizational and communication skills. On-site role in Washington, DC with opportunities to travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Experience supporting email marketing campaigns; familiarity with HTML email platforms preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating projects, events, or conferences preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/marketing automation/project management software preferred.
  • Ability to analyze marketing campaign performance and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of integrated marketing campaigns by coordinating projects and managing assets to ensure campaigns are delivered on time.
  • Execute HTML email creation, scheduling, deployment, and reporting for multiple campaigns and support digital marketing efforts.
  • Manage conference, exhibition, and event logistics, including travel arrangements and promotional assets.
  • Develop and maintain marketing project timelines, monitor progress, and communicate priorities and deadlines.
  • Maintain CRM data for leads, campaigns, and sales follow-up activities.
  • Monitor marketing performance, maintain dashboards, and generate reports on key metrics.
  • Assist with webinar logistics, registrations, and post-event reporting.
  • Oversee production and organization of marketing collateral and assets.
  • Schedule and manage insertion orders for internal and external campaigns.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather assets and ensure timely completion of initiatives.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide administrative and project support for departmental initiatives.
