Job summary

APTIM Corp. is seeking a Marketing Lead for Energy Efficiency Programs to guide strategy and execution across multiple campaigns. You will work with program leadership, SMEs, and partners to translate objectives into impactful marketing plans, campaigns and content.

The role requires strong PM and communications skills, experience with marketing automation, CRM tools, and Adobe Creative Suite, with occasional travel for team meetings. This position is remote-friendly in the United States.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, communications, business or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible marketing, communications, or program/project management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing and communications strategies.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, vendors, or clients to deliver marketing solutions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing and communications strategies for assigned energy programs and campaigns.
  • Partner with Marketing Managers, leadership, SMEs, partners, and vendors to translate objectives into actionable plans.
  • Serve as the day-to-day marketing lead for campaigns and programs, coordinating internal and external resources.
  • Lead campaigns from strategy and creative brief through development, review, launch, measurement, and optimization.
  • Develop campaign briefs detailing audience, objectives, key messages, channels, deliverables, schedules and success metrics.
  • Manage marketing workflows and creative requests to ensure timely delivery within scope.
  • Coordinate shared resources across campaigns, identifying priorities and capacity needs.
  • Review and approve marketing materials with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and review content across digital, social, web, email, print, and presentations.
  • Ensure materials comply with brand standards, accessibility, and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply insights from customer data and performance results to inform recommendations.
  • Track campaign performance and ROI where applicable; adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Coordinate budgets and identify resource concerns for leadership and managers.
  • Build strong relationships with teams, partners, and vendors to enable delivery.
  • Support client meetings with strategy, recommendations and performance insights.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans with program leadership.
  • Guide and mentor Marketing Specialists to improve quality and consistency across programs.
  • Share best practices and innovative approaches across the Energy Transition team.

Job Description

Job Overview:

APTIM’s Energy Transition team is seeking a motivated and experienced Marketing Lead to join our APTIM team. Reporting to Marketing Manager/Director, the Marketing Lead will provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for marketing and communications initiatives supporting assigned programs, campaigns, and workstreams. This role translates program objectives into effective marketing strategies, campaigns, and communications designed to increase awareness, engagement, and program participation.

In this role, the Marketing Lead serves as a key liaison among program teams, internal subject matter experts, marketing partners, creative resources, and vendors. The successful candidate will independently lead complex marketing projects and campaigns from strategy through execution, measurement, and optimization while coordinating shared marketing resources and helping ensure high-quality, consistent delivery across programs. Occasional travel for team meetings may be necessary.

This position is designed for an experienced marketing professional ready to take increased ownership of complex marketing initiatives while providing day-to-day leadership across assigned campaigns and workstreams. In this role, you will be working with others who are passionate about energy efficiency and making a positive impact on the industry.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing and communications strategies for assigned energy programs, campaigns, and workstreams.
  • Partner with Marketing Managers, program leadership, internal subject matter experts, marketing partners, creative resources, and vendors to translate program objectives into actionable marketing plans and campaigns.
  • Serve as the day-to-day marketing lead for assigned campaigns, projects, and program workstreams, coordinating activities among internal teams, shared marketing resources, creative resources, vendors, and partners.
  • Lead campaigns from initial strategy and creative brief through development, review, approval, launch, measurement, and optimization.
  • Develop campaign strategies and briefs that clearly define target audiences, objectives, key messages, channels, deliverables, schedules, and measures of success.
  • Manage marketing project workflows and creative requests to ensure work is delivered on time, within scope, and consistent with program objectives.
  • Coordinate shared marketing resources across assigned campaigns and workstreams, working with Marketing Managers to identify priorities, capacity needs, scheduling conflicts, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate the review and approval of marketing materials with appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and review marketing content across digital, social, web, email, print, presentations, case studies, and other communication channels.
  • Ensure marketing and communication materials comply with client requirements, brand standards, accessibility expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Apply customer insights, market research, program data, and campaign performance results to inform marketing recommendations and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Track, analyze, and communicate campaign performance, including key performance indicators, program participation, engagement, and return on marketing investment where applicable.
  • Recommend adjustments to marketing strategies and tactics based on performance data, customer insights, and evolving program needs.
  • Track marketing campaign budgets and spend within assigned workstreams and identify potential budget, scope, or resource concerns for Marketing Managers and program leadership.
  • Build productive working relationships with program teams, marketing partners, creative resources, vendors, and internal subject matter experts to support successful marketing delivery.
  • Support Marketing Managers and program leadership in client meetings and presentations by providing marketing strategy, campaign recommendations, performance insights, and subject matter expertise as needed.
  • Identify marketing risks, resource needs, scheduling conflicts, and implementation challenges and work with Marketing Managers and program leadership to develop solutions.
  • Provide guidance, peer review, and mentorship to Marketing Specialists and other team members, helping strengthen marketing quality and consistency across programs.
  • Share best practices, lessons learned, successful campaigns, tools, and innovative approaches across the Energy Transition marketing team.
  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment within the team and broader organization.
  • All other related duties as assigned.
  • Ensuring compliance with all APTIM quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, communications, business, related field
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, or related program/project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing and communications strategies.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, marketing partners, creative resources, vendors, or clients to develop and deliver marketing solutions.
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop clear, audience-focused messaging and effectively review the work of others.
  • Experience analyzing marketing performance and applying results and customer insights to improve campaigns.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and demonstrated judgment in resolving marketing implementation challenges.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, marketing automation and project-management tools, CRM systems, social media platforms, and related marketing technologies.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in the energy, utility, sustainability, or energy-efficiency industry.
  • Experience supporting utility or energy programs, including energy efficiency, demand response, DERs, electrification, e-mobility, or renewable energy.
  • Experience supporting marketing for utility, government, commercial, or other energy-related programs.
  • Experience guiding, mentoring, or coordinating the work of other marketing professionals.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or other visual communication and design tools.
  • Understanding of energy technologies and energy-saving solutions, including lighting, HVAC, building systems, transportation electrification, and distributed energy resources.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000 per year. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
