Job summary

Photon is seeking a marketing leader to own growth and content across channels from SF to the global audience. You will plan launches, write posts, and own growth channels while collaborating with the AI tools you rely on.

You should have shipped marketing at startups (B2B, devtools, or AI), write clearly, and know what resonates. The role is on-site in San Francisco with the CMO reporting line.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping marketing at a startup (B2B, devtools, or AI preferred).
• Excellent plain-English writing and ability to create shareable posts.
• Strong taste to differentiate and avoid cringe in content.
• AI-native, uses Claude and Codex daily.

Responsibilities

• Plan launches for Photon 2.0 across channels.
• Write posts, briefs, press briefs, and ship on time across X, LinkedIn, newsletter, and partners.
• Own content: X articles, blog posts, concept videos, customer stories.
• Own growth channels: Google Ads, SEO, newsletter, partnerships.
• Produce events with the team: founder dinners, Dev Day, hackathon sponsorships.
• Measure everything: signups, activation, pipeline. Weekly reporting to the founders.
• Build with AI and automate the boring parts to focus on taste.

Own Photon's growth engine end to end: launches, content, paid, lifecycle, and the numbers behind them. Full-time, on-site in SF, reporting to CMO.

What you will do

• Run launches: Photon 2.0, new channels, product drops. Plan the launch week, write the posts, brief press, and ship on time across X, LinkedIn, newsletter, and partners
• Own content: X articles, blog posts, concept videos, and customer stories
• Own growth channels: Google Ads, SEO, the newsletter, and co-marketing with partnerships
• Produce events with the team: founder dinners, Dev Day, hackathon sponsorships
• Measure everything: signups, activation, pipeline. Weekly reporting to the founders
• Build with AI: Claude and Codex are your coworkers. Automate the boring parts and spend the time on taste

Who you are

• You have shipped marketing at a startup before, ideally B2B, devtool, or AI
• You write well and fast in plain English, and your posts get shared
• You have taste. You know what is cringe and what pops, and you can tell the difference before it goes out
• You are AI native and use Claude and Codex every day
