Job Description

The Marketing and Events Coordinator is responsible for coordinating casino promotions, events, live entertainment, and work order requests. This position will oversee the implementation and execution of casino promotions. This position effectively communicates promotions and events to the necessary personnel throughout the organization. This position manages live entertainment, off-site event planning, and organizational processes with guidance from the Marketing Analyst and Marketing Manager. Must understand casino player tracking systems, gamification, slot management systems, gaming bonusing, and reporting software. This position requires supervision of promotional team members. Brainstorm new and fun ways to keep team members engaged and interested in marketing materials that will benefit guests. This position requires training and supervision of team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages the planning process for live entertainment and off-site events and organizational process by coordinating with vendors, stage setup, band management, and Swinomish Casino & Lodge departments involved.
• Manages day-of live entertainment, on and off-site events as the go-to contact person.
• Oversees promotional assistance.
• Assists in the implementation of promotions, giveaways, meetings, on and off-site events.
• Assists with uploading content to the promotional and kiosks.
• Assists with Marketing work order requests from department managers/supervisors, and monitors process.
• Prepares and distributes information in approved format for upcoming events, offers, promotions, etc.
• Effectively communicate with external and internal guests through various platforms.
• Acts in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint with high level of Excel proficiency.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to multi-task with solid time management skills.
• Ability to work proactively and effectively within a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environment.
• High level of self-direction, self-motivation, and energy.
• Ensures that all paperwork is completed and routed to proper departments.
• Handles all guests and team members questions/concerns with professionalism.
• Coordinates with other marketing departments for necessary support.

• Effectively communicates with the Signature Services and Welcome Center to ensure full understanding of promotions and offers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in Communications, Marketing or related field plus one-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
