Future Opening: Inventory & E-Commerce Marketing Assistant

Replies within 24 hours

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Inventory & E-Commerce Marketing Assistant to join our growing team in New York City. This multi-faceted role is ideal for a digital professional who thrives at the intersection of creative brand storytelling and operational execution.

You will balance the day-to-day coordination of consumer-facing digital promotions and newsletters with backend storefront management. During operational lulls, you will support critical business health by assisting with physical inventory counts, purchase orders, administrative tracking, and cross-functional team collaborations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Campaign & Newsletter Coordination: Brainstorm and organize monthly digital marketing campaigns and newsletter calendars; coordinate structural asset requests with graphic designers and external vendors to maintain strict multi-week visual lead times.
  • Shopify Storefront & Financial Operations: Set up, launch, and monitor live promotional campaigns, product listings, and seasonal collection pages directly within Shopify. Review, audit, and execute the backend capturing of Shopify website payments securely.
  • Product Quality Assurance: Review, proof, and audit all product listings to ensure visual assets, tags, copy, and options are absolutely perfect before they are officially published to the live website.
  • Promotion Quality Control: Audit digital incentive parameters—including Gift with Purchase (GWP) threshold values, localized tags, and single-use coupon logic-to ensure exact functionality and prevent multi-discount stack loopholes.
  • Retail Operations & POS Alignment: Partner closely with physical store teams to test active promotional mechanics on the point-of-sale (POS) terminal, ensuring appropriate visual layouts and item syncs match front-end store promotions.
  • Inventory & Order Management: Regularly conduct onsite physical inventory counts at both store locations to maintain database accuracy.
  • Administrative & Down-Time Support: Leverage operational down time to assist with processing purchase orders (POs), sorting online order fulfillment, and compiling routine administrative materials, including itemized monthly inventory loss reports for regional management.
Qualifications
  • Experience Level: At least 1-3 years of experience in a digital marketing, e-commerce support, or related retail administrative role.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem (including order processing and payment workflows), digital email marketing tools, and standard productivity platforms (Google Workspace/Microsoft Excel) is preferred.
  • Operational Mindset: High structural conscientiousness. Ability to independently navigate app documentation, troubleshoot minor technical loops, and actively utilize structured checklists before launching live changes.
  • Communication & Logistics: Exceptional verbal and written coordination skills for managing deadlines across design, social media, and product teams. High physical organization for handling inventory and order processing.
