Job summary

CSU Fullerton Auxiliary Services Corporation (ASC) seeks a part-time Consultant with extensive marketing experience to provide no-cost technical assistance to entrepreneurs and small business owners in Orange County. The SBDC at CSUF is supported by the SBA and the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development.

Essential duties include consulting, training, maintaining client records, reporting milestones, public presentations, and cross-county collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must be a previous or current small business owner.
• Strong understanding of strategic marketing plans and execution.
• Proven record of integrating marketing across channels that drove revenue growth.
• Expertise in identifying and capitalizing on marketing opportunities.
• Ability to execute integrated campaigns across traditional and digital channels.
• Experience designing customer journeys to improve retention and engagement.
• Experience advising small businesses and delivering public presentations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to collaborate with staff, clients, government agencies and the public.
• Working knowledge of various software packages.

Responsibilities

• Provide consulting, training, and information services to pre-venture and small businesses.
• Maintain client databases with assessments and improvement recommendations.
• Stay current on business trends, techniques, and processes.
• Collaborate with peers and the business community to expand expertise.
• Lead community outreach, public presentations, and board involvement.
• Travel as required for cross-county functions.
• Complete forms and maintain client files as required by SBA.
• Document outcomes of sessions and provide timely milestone reports.
