Job description

We are looking for a Data & Reporting Specialist to help manage and grow our agency’s data infrastructure. This person will play a critical role in supporting reporting, dashboard development, data modeling, tracking, and data quality across the organization. This is a strong fit for someone who is highly analytical, calm under pressure, and able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate does not need deep experience in every platform we use, but they do need strong SQL skills, solid dashboarding experience, a strong understanding of data visualization, and the ability to work through complex reporting and data problems independently.

What You’ll Do
  • Create, maintain, and improve dashboards and reports in Looker Studio
  • Build and maintain data models that support reporting across multiple data sources
  • Write complex SQL queries to transform, combine, and structure data for reporting and analysis
  • Translate stakeholder ideas and business questions into technical reporting solutions
  • Create new dashboards and reporting solutions based on evolving business needs
  • Manage and improve data ingestion pipelines, including cleaning and normalizing data across multiple sources
  • Support and maintain the agency’s data warehouse and broader reporting infrastructure
  • Lead onboarding from a reporting and data setup perspective for new clients
  • Help support analytics and tracking implementation, including GA4, GTM, and conversion tracking workflows as needed
  • Diagnose and resolve tracking, attribution, and reporting issues
  • Navigate ad platforms when necessary to troubleshoot conversion and attribution discrepancies
  • Work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify and solve reporting and data-related challenges
  • Learn and adapt to new platforms, CRMs, and data sources as business needs evolve
What This Role Really Requires

This is not just a dashboard-building role. Success in this position requires someone who can take loosely defined reporting requests, understand the business question behind them, determine what data is needed, assess whether the request is technically possible, and build the queries, models, and reports needed to support it.

You should be comfortable working through ambiguity, solving problems independently, and figuring out unfamiliar systems as they come up. People across the organization will rely on this person for reporting and tracking guidance, so strong communication and a calm, solutions-oriented mindset are important.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of professional experience building dashboards and reporting solutions in a business environment
  • Experience with dashboarding or BI tools
  • Strong understanding of data visualization best practices
  • Experience working with real-world business data, including messy or incomplete datasets
  • Ability to build or support complex data models for reporting and analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to understand stakeholder requests and translate them into practical reporting solutions
  • Strong communication skills, especially when working with non-technical teams
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and learn new systems quickly
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Looker Studio
  • Experience with BigQuery / Google BigQuery
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics 4
  • Familiarity with Google Tag Manager
  • Familiarity with ad platforms and conversion tracking
  • Experience with data ingestion and normalization tools such as Funnel.io
  • Experience in a digital marketing agency or other fast-paced, multi-client environment
