Job summary

Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to support the Museum’s digital marketing efforts, including paid advertising, organic social media, email campaigns, and performance analytics. This data-driven role manages multiple platforms to boost awareness, engagement, and visitation.

The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and capable of coordinating campaigns with exhibitions and events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations, business, or a related field preferred.
  • At least one year of professional experience in marketing, communications, social media, advertising, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts and creating content for multiple platforms.
  • Familiarity with paid digital advertising platforms, such as Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid digital campaigns across platforms such as Meta, Google, and other advertising channels.
  • Manage campaign budgets, targeting, creative testing, and performance optimization.
  • Monitor campaign performance and make real-time adjustments to improve results.
  • Coordinate campaign launches aligned with exhibitions, events, and seasonal initiatives.
  • Track and analyze performance across digital channels, including ads, website traffic, and user behavior.
  • Maintain dashboards and provide regular reports on KPIs such as reach, engagement, conversions, and ROI.
  • Use insights to inform strategy and improve future campaigns.
  • Assist in forecasting and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage content across social media platforms.
  • Develop engaging content including captions, short-form video direction, and campaign messaging.
  • Monitor comments, messages, and engagement trends.
  • Collaborate on content creation with internal teams.
  • Build, schedule, and deploy email campaigns.
  • Segment audiences and support list management efforts.
  • Assist with A/B testing subject lines, content, and send strategies.
  • Track performance metrics and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with website updates, landing pages, and campaign integration.

Job description

Founded in 1971 as a 501(c)(3), the Foundation since 2005, in an agreement with the Texas Historical

Commission, manages and provides financial support to the State-owned National Museum of the Pacific

War to:

Educate present and future generations about World War II in the Pacific and the continued global

relevance of its lessons;

Use the Collection to provide programs that inspire and educate;

Enhance and maintain the quality of the National Museum of the Pacific War and its grounds;

Provide resources to accomplish the Foundation’s vision and mission; and,

Enhance constituency and community engagement.

The Foundation engages visitors through a variety of exhibitions and education programs to accomplish our

mission. The Museum features four buildings of galleries and exhibits and six outdoor exhibit areas. The

Foundation also runs and operates three museum stores and variety of multi-functional spaces.

Position

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Coordinator supports and coordinates the Museum’s

digital marketing efforts, including paid advertising, organic social media, email marketing, and

performance analytics. This role is ideal for someone who is data-driven, creative, and comfortable

managing multiple digital platforms to drive awareness, engagement, and visitation.

Responsibilities
Digital Advertising & Campaign Management
  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid digital campaigns across platforms such as Meta, Google, and other advertising channels
  • Manage campaign budgets, targeting, creative testing, and performance optimization
  • Monitor campaign performance and make real-time adjustments to improve results
  • Coordinate campaign launches aligned with exhibitions, events, and seasonal initiatives
Analytics & Reporting
  • Track and analyze performance across digital channels, including ads, website traffic, and user behavior
  • Maintain dashboards and provide regular reports on KPIs such as reach, engagement, conversions, and ROI
  • Use insights to inform strategy and improve future campaigns
  • Assist in forecasting and identifying growth opportunities
Social Media Management
  • Plan, schedule, and manage content across social media platforms
  • Develop engaging, platform-appropriate content including captions, short-form video direction, and campaign messaging
  • Monitor comments, messages, and engagement trends

Email Marketing (Eblasts)
  • Build, schedule, and deploy email campaigns
  • Segment audiences and support list management efforts
  • Assist with A/B testing subject lines, content, and send strategies
  • Track performance metrics and recommend improvements
Website & Digital Presence
  • Assist with website updates, landing pages, and campaign integration
  • Ensure consistency across digital touchpoints
  • Support SEO efforts and content optimization
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations, business, or a related field preferred. Relevant professional experience may be considered in place of formal education.
  • At least one year of professional experience in marketing, communications, social media, advertising, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts and creating content for multiple platforms.
  • Familiarity with paid digital advertising platforms, such as Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and platforms.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across departments.
  • Interest in the Foundation’s mission and the ability to communicate historical and educational content in an engaging and accessible way.
  • Able to lift 35 lbs. and manage equipment transport/set up independently
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
Compensation & Benefits

This is a Full-time position in the range of $40,000 - $45,000 a year with health insurance, sick leave, paid vacation, and holidays. A 403-B retirement savings account is offered. The applicant’s lifestyle must be flexible enough to work evenings and weekends, when required.
