Job description

Our Story

Since 2023, our mission has been clear: to be the north star of patient equity. Every day, we strive to bridge the gaps in healthcare access and outcomes to ensure that every patient, regardless of background or circumstance, receives the care they deserve. As a member of our team, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, working alongside passionate individuals who share your dedication to creating best‑in‑class, patient‑centric products in healthcare. Together, we're revolutionizing the way people understand their health and working with the world's top researchers to accelerate innovation.

About Novellia

Novellia is the first and only company that lets anyone in the U.S. gain access to nearly a decade of their health data in under 30 seconds — 100% free. All your health records, across every doctor, in one place, always up to date.

We are the only patient‑powered real‑world data platform delivering comprehensive, patient‑authorized longitudinal health insights to accelerate biopharma innovation. Unlike traditional RWD providers who deliver fragmented institutional data, we empower patients to access 20+ years of their health records, then transform these complete health journeys into fit‑for‑purpose datasets for evidence generation, regulatory submissions, and market access. We are growing 5x year over year, have raised close to $30M in funding, and are backed by tier‑1 investors including Spark Capital, Khosla Ventures, and Bling Capital.

Working with the world's top researchers, we turn health insights into life‑changing action for millions of people around the world.

About the Role

Most marketing teams in healthcare operate like it's 2009. Dense white papers. Forgettable webinars. Conference booths with too many pens and not enough personality.

We're building something different. We're looking for a Marketing Coordinator who understands scientific communications or life sciences marketing, loves the science, and has been quietly frustrated by how badly the industry communicates it. You want to take what you know about real‑world evidence, patient data, and clinical research and turn it into content that people actually want to read, watch, and share.

We are looking for someone who gets things done. You are the kind of person who has a color‑coded project tracker, who follows up without being asked, and who can hold five balls in the air without dropping any of them. You bring that operational energy to a creative team and make the whole machine run faster. You will work directly with our Head of Marketing and execute across channels including events, social, and sales collateral.

What You Will Do
  • Own execution. You take tasks from brief to done. That means coordinating timelines, tracking deliverables, managing review cycles, chasing approvals, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. You are the person who makes the calendar real.
  • Support content production across channels. You will assist in producing materials across events (pre/post logistics, run‑of‑show, vendor coordination), social (scheduling, community monitoring, asset coordination), and sales enablement (one‑pagers, decks, collateral updates). You know good ideas from bad and you can contribute creative thoughts.
  • Translate the science into plain language. Your background in scientific communications or life sciences marketing means you understand what we actually do. You can read a study abstract, understand what it means, and help shape how we talk about it in a way that lands outside of a journal.
  • Keep the team on track. You maintain the marketing calendar. You run status checks. You flag blockers before they become problems. You are the connective tissue between strategy and execution.
  • Grow into more. Budget management, vendor relationships, creative execution, and campaign ownership are on the path ahead. This role is designed to expand as you do.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years in scientific communications, journalism, marketing, or communications within life sciences, healthcare, or health data. Agency or in‑house both work.
  • Project management, first. This is the non‑negotiable. You are deeply organized. You manage multiple workstreams at once. You build systems for yourself even when no one asks you to.
  • Scientific fluency. You are comfortable with clinical research, real‑world evidence, or health data concepts. You do not need a science degree. You need to have worked alongside scientists or clinicians long enough to understand the vocabulary and earn the trust.
  • Creative curiosity. You have opinions about what makes content good. You notice when something lands differently than the rest of the category. You can write a clear sentence and you care about the difference between a sharp headline and a mediocre one.
  • Fast‑moving and unbothered. Priorities shift. Timelines compress. You adapt without drama and keep moving. You ask good questions when you need clarity and make reasonable calls when you do not.
  • Low ego, high output. You take the work seriously. You do not take yourself too seriously. You find something slightly absurd about how stiff and self‑important healthcare marketing usually is, and you want to fix that.
Tools You Are Comfortable With (or Willing to Learn Fast)
  • Project management: Notion, Slack, etc.
  • Design basics: Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Google Workspace (you live in Docs, Slides, and Sheets)
What This Is Not
  • This is not a social media manager role. You will touch social, but it is one channel among several.
  • This is not a pure writing role. You will contribute to content, but execution and coordination are the job.
  • This is not a good fit if you prefer slow‑moving environments, long approval chains, or heavily siloed work. We move fast, we are small, and everyone's fingerprints are on the output.
Location

Hybrid, based in New York City. You will be in‑person with the team regularly.
