Job description

MARKETING COORDINATOR
RISE BRANDS
THE COMPANY - RISE BRANDS

Established in 2013 and based out of Columbus, Ohio, Rise Brands is a highly collaborative organization with clearly defined core values. We develop edgy, immersive consumer engagements and bring them to life through unique brand experiences, such as 16-Bit Bar and Arcade, Pins Mechanical Company, and No Soliciting, a members-only speak-easy club.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Rise Brands is looking for an organized, proactive Marketing Coordinator to help local marketing activations move from idea to execution across our venue markets. This person will keep plans, people, materials, and deadlines connected so venue teams can deliver well-run events and community partnerships that feel relevant to their neighborhoods.

The Coordinator will work closely with the Marketing Director, Brand Content Manager, Operations, Event Sales, and venue leaders. The role is hands-on and detail-oriented, with regular coordination across multiple locations and occasional on-site support.

WHAT YOU WILL COORDINATE
LOCAL ACTIVATION PLANNING

Maintain the shared local activation calendar and tracker across markets, including concepts, objectives, audiences, dates, owners, status, budgets, approvals, and post-event follow-up.

Help turn ideas from venue teams, partners, and the marketing committee into concise activation briefs with timelines, responsibilities, success measures, and required resources.

Coordinate planning checkpoints and follow up with owners so decisions, approvals, and deliverables are completed on time.

ACTIVATION LOGISTICS AND READINESS
  • Coordinate event details such as partner and vendor communication, quotes, materials, signage, giveaways, supplies, shipping, schedules, and run-of-show information.
  • Owns materials and fulfillment for activations across markets: sources and orders signage, giveaways and supplies, builds market-specific kits, manages shipping and delivery timing, confirms receipt with venue teams ahead of each activation, and tracks inventory and reorders.
  • Owns the marketing asset and inventory library: keeps approved creative files current and accessible to venue teams, and tracks physical signage, giveaways and supplies by market
  • Work with Operations and venue leaders to confirm staffing needs, setup plans, guest flow, access, and venue readiness; flag issues early and help resolve them.
  • Prepare clear venue-facing activation guides with the what, when, who, and how, along with approved creative, talking points, and any guest-facing details.
  • Track approved budgets, invoices, and deliverables; route purchase and agreement requests through the required approval process.
COMMUNITY PARTNERS AND LOCAL TEAMS
  • Support local relationships with businesses, nonprofits, schools, sports and entertainment groups, tourism organizations, and neighborhood partners.
  • Coordinate partner commitments, timelines, promotional exchanges, event participation, and follow-up; maintain accurate contact and partnership records.
  • Help venue leaders and committee members identify local opportunities and understand the resources and steps needed to execute them.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL SUPPORT AND ON-SITE EXECUTION
  • Coordinate with the Brand Content Manager so social coverage, photography, video, and partner content needs are identified in advance.
  • Align activation timing and logistics with Event Sales, Operations, Creative, and other teams whose work affects the guest experience.
  • Attend selected activations to support setup, partner coordination, guest-facing details, and on-site problem solving; travel to venue markets and work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
WRAP-UP AND REPORTING
  • Collect attendance, sales or event-lead results where available, partner feedback, social performance, expenses, and venue observations after activations.
  • Monitors Google and Yelp and responds to guest feedback per the outlined policy.
  • Prepare concise recaps that document what happened, what worked, open follow-ups, and recommendations for future market activity.
  • Keep shared files, trackers, calendars, and contact records current so teams can find accurate information.
HOW SUCCESS WILL BE MEASURED
  • Local activations have clear plans, owners, approvals, budgets, timelines, and venue instructions.
  • Venues and partners receive the information and materials they need in time to execute.
  • Activation logistics are completed accurately, with issues surfaced early and resolved through the right partners.
  • Post-activation results and lessons are captured consistently and used to strengthen future local programs.
  • Venue and partner teams experience the marketing process as responsive, organized, and easy to work with.
EXPERIENCE AND STRENGTHS
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects and deadlines at once in a fast-moving, guest-focused environment.
  • Experience supporting events, marketing campaigns, community programs, hospitality, or retail is preferred.
  • Comfort working with venue operators, corporate teams, vendors, and community partners, and asking for clarity when plans or ownership are unclear.
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace; familiarity with calendars, project trackers, event tools, social platforms, and basic budget tracking is helpful.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field is strongly preferred; equivalent relevant experience is welcome.
  • Willingness to travel to venues and work occasional evenings or weekends for local activations.
