Marketing Content & Engagement Specialist

3 days ago Requisition ID: 1061

Salary Range: $72,000.00 To $82,000.00 Annually

What makes us different from a bank? Part of it is our not-for-profit, cooperative structure. Financial Partners Credit Union is owned by our members, not Wall Street, so we’re committed to doing what’s best for you, rather than the bottom line.

At the same time, we truly believe that focusing on service and member satisfaction is the right thing to do. Our members aren’t just figures on a balance sheet-our mission is to build lifetime financial partnerships.

Since our humble beginnings, we’re over $2.2 billion in assets, with 93,000 members, and branches across California, from South San Francisco to San Diego. But one thing hasn’t changed since eight aviation workers pooled $900 in 1937 to launch Financial Partners: our focus on saving money, making money, and saving time for our members.

PURPOSE:

The Marketing Content & Engagement Specialist develops written content, plans member campaign communications and email journeys, and manages social media and online reputation activities for the Credit Union. Reporting to the Marketing Director, this position collaborates with Marketing, Business Intelligence (BI), and business partners to deliver accurate, timely communications that support member engagement and business objectives.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Write, edit, and proofread email, social media, website, campaign, and member communications. Maintain a consistent brand voice, clear calls to action, and accurate product and service information.
  • Develop member journey briefs in collaboration with Marketing, BI, and business partners. Define objectives, audiences, entry triggers, communication timing, messaging, and exit criteria, and document content and creative requirements.
  • Prepare email copy and creative requirements for Salesforce Marketing Cloud journeys. Coordinate content deliverables with Marketing and BI in accordance with approved briefs and project schedules.
  • Review email appearance and the member experience, including message sequence, clarity, links, calls to action, and alignment with the approved brief. Document feedback, coordinate revisions, and support launch readiness through the established review and approval process.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and BI to review journey results and member feedback. Recommend and coordinate improvements to content, timing, and the member experience.
  • Manage the social media calendar for Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Develop content, coordinate creative assets, obtain required approvals, and publish according to approved schedules.
  • Monitor social media activity and engage with community members using approved guidance. Coordinate responses to questions and comments and refer service issues or sensitive matters to the appropriate internal partners.
  • Monitor and respond to reviews on app store platforms, Google, and Yelp using approved guidance. Document recurring concerns and coordinate follow-up with appropriate internal partners.
  • Prepare social media and reputation management reports, identify trends in engagement and member feedback, and recommend content or response improvements.
  • Coordinate assignments, deadlines, revisions, and approvals with Marketing, BI, and business partners. Maintain current task status and deliver approved content within established timelines.
  • Apply brand standards, editorial guidelines, and approved review procedures to all communications. Protect confidential member information and elevate content or response concerns through established channels.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in marketing, social media, or related roles—experience within the financial services industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in copywriting, editing, content development, social media publishing, community engagement, and online reputation management.
  • Ability to write and edit clear, accurate content for email, social media, websites, campaigns, and member communications, adapting tone and format to the audience and channel.
  • Experience planning communications or member journeys, including developing briefs that define objectives, audiences, triggers, timing, messaging, and exit criteria.
  • Working knowledge of email marketing and automated journey concepts, with the ability to prepare content and creative requirements and review email appearance and the member experience.
  • Experience managing content calendars, publishing, and monitoring activity on Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Experience responding to social media interactions and online reviews in accordance with organizational guidance, including identifying and escalating sensitive issues.
  • Working knowledge of graphic design principles and tools, with the ability to create social media graphics that align with established brand standards.
  • Ability to interpret content performance metrics and member feedback and translate findings into practical improvements.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain reliable follow-through.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and financial services communications is preferred.
