Job summary

Sauk Valley Bank in Sterling, IL seeks a Marketing and Communications Specialist to partner with leaders to craft compliant, brand-aligned campaigns across traditional, digital, and social channels, and to support community initiatives.

You will ensure materials meet regulatory standards, manage multi-channel messaging, and work with design teams to deliver effective communications. A degree in Marketing plus 2–5 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Marketing or a related field plus two to five years’ experience; banking experience is a plus but not required.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Understanding of multi-channel campaign strategies and content creation.
• Analytical and strategic thinking skills; data-driven decisions.
• Copy writing and proofreading skills; strong communication abilities.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced marketing team.
• Organizational, time management and attention-to-detail skills.
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle if required by duties.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Market Presidents and leaders to understand business needs and support marketing initiatives.
• Develops messaging, content and communications for products and campaigns across channels.
• Plans integrated campaigns and supports materials with strong creative alignment.
• Supports community partnerships and events to extend brand visibility.
• Ensures brand voice and visual standards across communications; provides design support.
• Coordinates projects and resources; evaluates campaign performance and applies learnings.
• Collaborates with Compliance to ensure materials meet regulatory requirements.
