Onward Search is seeking a Marketing Audience Lead for a high-profile financial firm.

Join our client's team as a pivotal marketing interface within the Fixed Income Team. This role is designed to drive business priorities and shape marketing strategies that align with overarching business objectives. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the business landscape, target audiences, and the competitive environment to ensure marketing efforts are strategic and impactful.

This is a full-time, 6-month contract that is hybrid onsite in downtown Los Angeles, CA, 3 days/week. The application deadline is Friday, May 2nd, 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with client segment teams, business groups, and senior leaders to establish business priorities for the target audience.
  • Partner with senior leaders to define business challenges, conduct situation assessments, and identify opportunities.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies aimed at influencing audience behavior and attitudes.
  • Work closely with marketing research, sales, and product teams to derive insights that propel business objectives.
  • Craft marketing briefs that translate business opportunities into actionable marketing plans.
  • Lead cross-functional marketing teams using agile methodologies to deploy programs aligned with business strategies.
  • Provide creative direction and feedback, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across marketing and client segment teams.
  • Oversee campaign reporting and segment analysis, measuring audience engagement and adjusting strategies in real-time.
  • Evaluate the return on investment of marketing activities and adapt strategies to optimize success.
Skills & Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years in marketing, with a preference for experience in asset management, wealth management, or mutual fund marketing.
  • Must have institutional/B2B retirement and/or investments marketing experience!
  • Agency / Asset management / wealth management / mutual fund marketing experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Strong influence and collaboration skills with internal and external partners.
