Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of relevant marketing, communications, project coordination, or administrative experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar marketing platforms, is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI productivity tools to support content development, research, meeting summaries, project planning, and administrative efficiency.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a willingness to support a variety of projects and initiatives.
  • Strong follow-through and a sense of ownership and accountability for assigned work.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate marketing campaigns, email newsletters, webinars, meetings, events, and other communications, ensuring projects stay on track and deadlines are met.
  • Support the marketing compliance review process by submitting materials, tracking approvals and revisions, maintaining organized records, and developing a working knowledge of applicable marketing compliance requirements.
  • Assist with the creation, maintenance, and updating of marketing reports and marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, client communications, and other collateral.
  • Help manage and update content on the firm's website and internal marketing portal.
  • Track, organize, and respond to marketing requests from advisors and internal teams, helping prioritize projects and ensure timely follow-through.
  • Assist with the development, coordination, and scheduling of social media content.
  • Support event planning, including client communications, invitations, promotional materials, and other event-related needs.
  • Review marketing materials for accuracy, consistency, formatting, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Collaborate with members of the marketing team and colleagues across the firm to support department and company-wide initiatives.
  • Provide administrative and project coordination support to the marketing team, helping ensure initiatives are completed accurately and on time.

THE ROLE

As a Marketing Assistant at Apella, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day execution of marketing initiatives that contribute to the firm's growth, brand presence, advisor support, and client engagement efforts. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and collaborating with colleagues across the organization, this role provides broad exposure to marketing, communications, events, and project coordination within a fast-growing wealth management firm.

Where you will work:

This role is based in our West Hartford, CT office. We believe our best work happens through in-person collaboration, partnership, mentorship and relationship building with flexibility for remote work as needed at the discretion of team leadership.
