Job summary

Godfather’s Pizza is seeking a Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing department and collaborate with multiple teams, vendors, and franchise partners on projects. The role requires strong time management, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities include event support, social media content capture, content creation, and maintaining online listings, with occasional evenings/weekends and limited travel.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, English or related field preferred.
• Marketing and/or production related work experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
• Experience with WordPress, Hootsuite, photography, copywriting, event management, and other CMS is a plus.

• Attend and support in-store events, community appearances, promotional events, and brand activations (evenings/weekends as needed).
• Capture photo and video content for social media, events, and appearances.
• Assist with social media shoots and content creation to support campaigns.
• Collaborate with communications to develop, schedule and monitor social media content and community engagement.
• Maintain Godfather’s Pizza online business listings (Google Business Profiles, directories).
• Support marketing leads with project coordination, communication, and execution.

Title: Marketing Assistant

Reports To: Senior Marketing Communications Manager

Department: Marketing

FLSA Status: Non-exempt, Full-time

Position Purpose

This position will provide support to the marketing department as well as require collaboration/interaction with other GPI departments, vendors, and franchise partners for certain projects as assigned. In addition, excellent time management skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills (both spoken and written), and the ability to handle multiple projects at one time are required.

• Manage the appearance calendar and coordination for Godfather’s Pizza brand character/mascot, The Godfather.
• Attend and support in-store events, community appearances, promotional events, and brand activations, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Capture photo and video content for social media, marketing events, and Godfather appearances.
• Assist with social media photoshoots, event photography, and content creation to support brand engagement and marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with the communications team to develop, schedule, monitor, and support social media content and community engagement efforts.
• Manage and maintain Godfather’s Pizza online business listings, including Google Business Profiles and related directory platforms.
• Support traditional and non-traditional marketing leads with project coordination, communication, and execution of franchise marketing initiatives.
• Submit and coordinate graphic art and marketing requests through internal project management systems to ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Communicate with franchise partners, vendors, and internal departments to support project completion and marketing initiatives.
• Maintain and update content for the franchise web portal and related communication platforms.
• Coordinate and support the Slice of Pie fundraising program, including scheduling, communication, and program promotion.
• Oversee the creation and distribution of internal company newsletters and content.
• Assist with department billing, print bid coordination, marketing inventory management, and related administrative support tasks.
• Support cross-functional marketing projects and other duties as assigned by the marketing department leadership.

Position Qualifications

• BA/BS in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, English or a related field is preferred
• Marketing and/or production related work experience strongly preferred

• Experience with WordPress, Hootsuite, photography, copywriting, event management, and other content management systems a plus
• Must be a self-starter
