Responsibilities

• Assists in developing promotional materials for conferences, events, and retail locations across all dining and retail venues.
• Supports social media content creation and scheduling across location platforms.
• Assists with photography and videography for marketing use across venues.
• Performs data entry and maintains marketing databases and customer lists.
• Assists with inventory tracking of promotional materials and signage.

Overview

The Marketing Assistant works with the Marketing Coordinator in developing and maintaining marketing efforts across multiple dining and retail operations, including the conference center, Pete's Coffee location, Johnny's retail location, micro-markets, and dining hall operations. This position provides hands-on experience in hospitality marketing while supporting day-to-day promotional activities and special events.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Assists Marketing Coordinator in developing promotional materials for conference center events, Pete's Coffee, Johnny's retail, micro-markets, and dining hall operations
• Supports social media content creation and scheduling across all location platforms
• Assists with photography and videography for marketing purposes across all venues
• Performs data entry and maintains marketing databases and customer lists
• Assists with inventory tracking of promotional materials and signage
• Supports event planning and coordination for special promotions and seasonal campaigns
• Helps prepare marketing reports and analytics for all locations
• Assists in creating flyers, menus, and promotional materials under supervision
• Helps develop content for social media posts, stories, and announcements
• Assists with graphic design projects using basic design software
• Embraces Creative Dining core values and mission in all communications
• Performs other duties as assigned

Physical Demands/Work Environment

The position involves working in various environments including office settings, food service areas, retail spaces, and conference facilities. May require lifting up to 25 pounds for promotional materials and displays. Must be able to move between multiple locations as needed. May require occasional evening or weekend hours for events. Methods to perform essential job functions will be reasonably accommodated to allow individuals with disabilities to perform them.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality Management, or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with graphic design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
• Knowledge of digital marketing tools and Understands Facebook and Instagram posting analytics.
• Photography Skills are required- Video Skills capturing and editing are preferred.
