Job description

Enjoy meeting people and finding a clear way to explain something? We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant in Brownsville who brings curiosity, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn through practice.

You’ll support face-to-face marketing campaigns, brand activation and customer acquisition. That means preparing for promotional activity, representing client messages in person and learning what makes a conversation useful to a potential customer.

You could be starting your career, moving from retail or hospitality, or looking to put your studies into practice. Previous marketing experience isn’t required. Training will help you understand the campaign before you begin representing it.

Build confidence through experience
  • Paid campaign training: Learn brand information, customer communication and the standards expected during promotional activity.
  • Personal coaching: Get practical feedback to help you improve your approach and understand your results.
  • A weekday working pattern: Build your experience within a Monday-to-Friday schedule.
  • Development opportunities: Work toward wider involvement in campaign preparation, reporting or coordination as your skills develop.
Your contribution to the campaign

You’ll work alongside colleagues to:

  • Prepare promotional materials and take part in campaign briefings.
  • Introduce products, services and campaign messages to prospective customers.
  • Ask questions, listen carefully and identify relevant customer interest.
  • Explain approved offers and help interested customers understand the next steps.
  • Record engagement, customer feedback and completed campaign outcomes.
  • Share recurring questions and observations during team reviews.

This is an active role involving regular public interaction at campaign locations in Brownsville. You’ll work toward agreed engagement, quality and performance goals while maintaining a professional approach

Listening will be just as important as speaking. A useful customer observation might help the team explain an offer more clearly, prepare for a common question or improve how the next activity is organized.

You should feel comfortable starting conversations, working with others and trying a new approach when feedback suggests an improvement. Reliability and preparation matter throughout the campaign, from arriving ready for a briefing to completing accurate notes afterward.

Experience in customer-facing work, events, volunteering or team activities can provide a useful foundation. A marketing degree is welcome but isn’t essential.

Spanish and English are helpful, but not required.

As you gain experience, you’ll develop practical skills in brand representation, customer engagement and campaign reporting. Additional responsibility will depend on your performance, readiness and available opportunities.
