Job summary

HealthCorps seeks a driven MarComm Intern to support content creation, storytelling, and regional outreach across digital channels. You will collect stories, produce written, video, and visual content, and help showcase student impact, partnerships, and program successes through newsletters, social posts, and websites.

Based in Phoenix, this on‑site role offers hands‑on experience with Canva, social media tools, and Adobe Creative Cloud while collaborating with a nationwide marketing team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation & Storytelling: support content collection and storytelling projects for digital communications, social media, newsletters, websites, donor communications, and regional outreach efforts. Develop written, video, and visual content that highlights the HealthCorps mission, student impact, community partnerships, and program successes.
  • On‑Site Engagement & Coverage: visit local school sites each week to capture stories and content from the Teens Make Health Happen Clubs; attend regional events and partner engagements.
  • Social Media & Digital Marketing: manage regional social media channels by creating and publishing content, monitor engagement, and identify trends; support LinkedIn and YouTube with the national team.
  • Communications Support: assist in developing materials for students, families, school partners, and stakeholders; draft emails, newsletters, announcements, and event invitations.
  • Marketing Materials & Design: create flyers, posters, presentations, signage, and promotional materials for recruitment and events.
  • Regional Event Promotion & Support: promote and execute events through digital campaigns and outreach; assist with pre‑event and post‑event storytelling.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: track engagement analytics and assist monthly reporting on regional marketing impact.
  • Campaign & Creative Project Support: brainstorm and execute awareness campaigns and content series highlighting HealthCorps programs.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: work with college mentors and HealthCorps MarComm interns; participate in national huddles to align messaging.
  • Represent HealthCorps in Your Community: serve as an ambassador and attend schools/events to connect students, staff, partners, and community members to programs.

Job description

  • On‑Site Engagement & Coverage: visit local school sites each week to capture stories and content from the Teens Make Health Happen Clubs. Attend regional events, community outreach opportunities, and partner engagements to document and showcase HealthCorps' impact.
  • Social Media & Digital Marketing: manage regional social media channels (Instagram & TikTok) by creating and publishing content, monitoring engagement, conducting social listening to identify trends and content opportunities, and maintaining brand consistency. Support content creation for platforms such as LinkedIn and YouTube in collaboration with the national team.
  • Communications Support: assist in developing communications materials for students, families, school partners, community partners, and stakeholders. Draft email communications, newsletters, announcements, presentations, event invitations, promotional messaging, and other materials that support regional and national HealthCorps initiatives.
  • Marketing Materials & Design: create and update marketing collateral such as flyers, posters, presentations, event signage, one‑pagers, and promotional materials that support program recruitment, event promotion, community engagement, and regional initiatives.
  • Regional Event Promotion & Support: promote and execute regional events through digital communications, outreach campaigns, and marketing efforts. Assist with pre‑event promotion, attendee engagement, and post‑event storytelling.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: track engagement analytics and assist in monthly reporting to assess the performance and impact of regional marketing and communications efforts.
  • Campaign & Creative Project Support: brainstorm, develop, and execute awareness campaigns, recurring content series, storytelling initiatives, and other creative projects that highlight HealthCorps programming and impact.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: collaborate with a team of college mentors who deliver TMHH programming to local middle and high school sites, as well as other HealthCorps MarComm Interns across the country. Participate in national intern huddles with the HealthCorps marketing team to align on messaging, storytelling strategy, best practices, and key campaigns.
  • Represent HealthCorps in Your Community: serve as an ambassador for HealthCorps and its mission, both inside and outside your sites. Attend schools and events to support outreach efforts that connect students, staff, partners, and community members to HealthCorps programs and resources.
Requirements

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Previous experience with Canva, social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social), and editing platforms such as CapCut, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro), or Adobe Express is a plus
  • Ability to travel to assigned sites, which may include distances of up to 40 miles within Phoenix, AZ.
