The Produce Patch Farm Market is seeking a Market Manager to lead the sales team at the Indiana market. This role acts as a go-to person for questions, screens and hires new staff, and trains the market team while building a family-like atmosphere.

Responsibilities include conducting interviews, onboarding, coaching, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, including cash handling, appearances, and customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Screen all applicants by conducting phone screens and screen hiring needs.
• Schedule and conduct interviews with team members and applicants.
• Manage training for new market employees.
• Provide daily positive feedback to the market team.
• Offer in-the-moment feedback to help team overcome challenges.
• Update Regional Manager on market team issues.
• Lead by example in all salesperson duties.
• Be the GO-TO for market questions, problems, and needs.
• Be available on-call; occasionally pop-in when not scheduled.
• Identify schedule gaps and assist with coverage as needed.
• Work ~5 shifts/week June 1 – Aug 15; at least 3 weekly Aug 15–Close.
• Facilitate clear communication about price changes and product availability.
• Use GroupMe to strengthen team communication and family feeling.
• Report to Regional Manager after each shift.
• Plan and hold at least 2 season-end meetings for the market team.
• Troubleshoot cash register issues as needed.
• Handle deposit paperwork weekly and organize cash flow.
• Oversee market appearance, displays, and organization.
• Manage purchasing, supplies, and upkeep of rags/towels/basket liners.
• Address customer complaints and inform Regional Manager.
• Change marquee sign weekly and maintain sign message log-book.
• Oversee special orders and contact customers about product availability.
