Job description

• 2-3 years of professional experience in risk management, quantitative analysis, or a related function within financial or energy markets.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in statistical modeling, data analysis, and risk measurement methodologies.
• Familiarity with market risk, credit risk, or operational risk frameworks and associated metrics (e.g., VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis).
• Experience in a power trading firm or energy commodities environment is a strong plus, including exposure to power markets, congestion, nodal pricing, or energy derivatives.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Python, R or similar quantitative programming languages for building analysis tools and risk models.
• Strong skills in Excel, including advanced functions and data manipulation.
• Experience with SQL or other database query languages is preferred.
• Understanding of trading systems, ETRMs, or real-time market data platforms is a plus.
• Solid understanding of financial products, derivatives, and risk drivers.
• Ability to interpret and analyze large datasets; strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of power market fundamentals, ISO/RTO markets, and physical vs. financial power products is a plus.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
