Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service, greet customers with a smile, learn names, and go the extra mile to make visits positive.
• Take customer orders at the Market Grille counter and answer the telephone promptly, assisting with product orders.
• Review daily orders, anticipate product needs, and prepare and replenish product as necessary.
• Pull product from cooler/freezer to prepare for cooking and ensure adequate supply.
• Handle food safely and monitor freshness at all times.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area throughout shifts.
• Check in product, put product away, and review invoices as needed.
• Run the department register, receive payment, and make change where applicable.
• Remove trash timely and wash dishes as necessary.
• Price and order product and deliver orders as needed.
• Work with coworkers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant environment.
• Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as assigned.
• Maintain personal hygiene, dress standards, and Hy-Vee policies and guidelines.
• Report to work on schedule and on time.
