Job summary

CLA is seeking a Market Facing Chief Financial Officer for its Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) practice, based out of either Ohio or Illinois. You will lead a 10+ person team delivering outsourced accounting and CFO consulting, driving strategic growth and scale of operations.

Responsibilities include developing the external CAAS network, leading proposals, and partnering with client leaders to shape financial policy and strategy.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Deep nonprofit industry specialization.
• CPA not required but highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop external business network to grow the CAAS practice.
• Lead proposals and client presentations as needed.
• Interact with client relationship leaders to grow services.
• Partner with clients to set financial policy and strategy.
• Monitor budgets and present operational metrics.
• Build strong client relationships and manage referrals.
