Valid8 Financial, Inc. is seeking a Market Development Intern to support the department’s efforts in managing contracts, initiatives, coalitions, and stakeholder relationships.

The role involves drafting correspondence, preparing reports, budgeting, and coordinating events for board members and staff. The ideal candidate is an undergraduate student willing to travel within Illinois, with strong MS Office skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while communicating clearly

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior, or senior in college at an accredited university.
• Willingness to travel within the state and potential overnight stay.
• Agriculture background preferred, but not required.

Responsabilités

• Organizes and implements administrative systems and procedures performing necessary support duties of the department.
• Drafts, edits and prepares correspondence, monthly reports and other material using word processing, spreadsheets and/or databases.
• Arrange venues and schedules for board members and staff for trade visits.
• Work with the ISA communications team and the Director of Market Development to manage ISA’s messaging and engagement around animal agriculture, aquaculture, biofuels, soy foods and new uses.
• Develop budgets, review project ideas, manage project and contract status working with an internal database.
• Manage multiple projects with varying timelines and specific deliverables needed for each.
• Able to work independently or cooperatively with others on a team.
• Capacity to make decisions and communication with tact and professionalism.
• Strong multi-tasking skills with a comfort in maintaining multiple, often conflicting priorities.
• Strong written and oral communications.
• Demonstrates working knowledge in MS Office, word processing, database, web application and spreadsheets.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to focus both on detail and the larger picture. Exhibits a high level of critical/strategic thinking.

The Market Development Intern will support and enhance the work done by the Market and Development department. The department manages contracts, special initiatives, coalitions, and relationships with a wide variety of supporters and stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
