Job summary

Market Bar inside Homewood Suites by Hilton Newport Cincinnati seeks a dependable Cook to join our hospitality team. You’ll prepare and present quality menu items while upholding Hilton standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include setting up stations, cooking to recipes, keeping kitchen organized, following food safety guidelines, receiving and rotating stock, and supporting inventory. Evening/weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking, restaurant, hotel, or food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 pounds.
• Food Handler Certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and supplies.
• Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely and consistent manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and prep areas.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
• Receive, rotate, and properly store food products.
• Assist with inventory management and minimizing food waste.
• Work collaboratively with hotel and restaurant team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
