Job summary

The Unconventional is seeking a qualified Maritime SOF Exercise Control SME to support multiple SOCPAC exercise events in Hawaii. The role provides dedicated operational and technical support to the SOCPAC Exercise Control Group during USPACOM Command Post Exercise events.

Responsibilities include synchronizing MSEL injects with NSW and VBSS assets, operating as the Maritime Response Cell, and managing deconfliction across maritime forces.

Qualifications

• Must possess Maritime SOF experience across NSW, boat operations, VBSS, and ISR.
• Experience supporting SOF training and exercise events.
• Ability to conduct 12-hour shift work during exercise support events.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Synchronize maritime-specific MSEL injects with Exercise Design Lead.
• Operate as Maritime Response Cell/White Cell during exercise execution.
• Coordinate deconfliction and adjudication of training audience decisions; provide feedback to ECG Lead.

Summary:

The Unconventional is seeking a qualified Maritime SOF Exercise Control SME to support our team on multiple SOCPAC exercise events. The Maritime Special Operations Forces (SOF) SME provides dedicated operational and technical support to the SOCPAC Exercise Control Group (ECG) during USPACOM Command Post Exercise events.

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:

• In direct coordination with the Exercise Design Lead, the Maritime SOF SME synchronizes maritime-specific MSEL injects to inform realistic scenario events that integrate Naval Special Warfare (NSW), boat operations, sub-surface systems, visit, board, search, and seizure (VBSS), and maritime intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) across the USPACOM operational environment.
• During exercise execution, the contractor operates as the Maritime Response Cell / White Cell, accurately replicating higher, adjacent, and subordinate maritime forces. The contractor along with Exercise Design personnel will synchronize MSEL injects, manage maritime and surface-to-subsurface deconfliction requirements, coordinates adjudication of training audience operational decisions against opposing force (OPFOR) actions, and provides structured operational feedback to the ECG Lead.
• Exercise support is expected to take place:
  • Keen Sword CPX, 16 – 28 OCT 2026 in Oahu, HI.
  • PACSENTRY 27-1 CPX, 31 MAR – 15 APR 2027 in Oahu, HI.
  • PACSENTRY 27-2 CPX, 31 MAY – 17 JUN 2027 in Oahu, HI.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Must possess Maritime SOF experience: Naval Special Warfare (NSW), boat operations, sub-surface systems, visit, board, search, and seizure (VBSS), and maritime intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) across the USPACOM operational environment.
• Must have experience supporting SOF training and exercise events.
• Must be able to conduct 12-hour shift work during exercise support events.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Must possess proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite tools.

Clearance: Requires an active SECRET clearance.

Travel: CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
