Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in marine propulsion or vehicle performance analysis.
• Familiarity with electric thruster systems or marine propulsion drives.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own propulsion system design, including thruster selection and integration.
• Define propulsion power requirements and coordinate with energy teams on power budgets.
• Lead trade studies on speed, endurance, noise, and propulsive efficiency.
• Coordinate with thruster vendors and testing teams; plan sea-trial support.
• Travel up to 25% for test sites and vendor facilities.
