Quartermaster is building a maritime intelligence platform with SmartMast™ sensors and edge AI. We seek an Applied ML Engineer to work across computer vision, sensor fusion, and lightweight inference pipelines on challenging field deployments.

You’ll collaborate with hardware, software, and product teams to deliver robust AI solutions, including model development, experimentation, and production-ready deployments. The role offers flexibility and global impact.

Formación

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Vision, ML, Robotics; bachelor’s considered case-by-case.
• 4+ years of production ML model development and deployment.
• Proficiency in Python and DL frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
• Experience with images, time-series, geospatial, RF data.
• Edge/embedded ML deployments with model compression and hardware-aware optimization.
• Familiar with cross-validation, hyperparameter tuning, and model monitoring.
• Strong debugging, experimentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication with technical and non-technical teammates.
• Bonus: experience in maritime, aerospace, or remote sensing.

Responsabilidades

• Design, train, and evaluate models for object detection, classification, anomaly detection, and sensor inference.
• Optimize architectures and inference pipelines for embedded/edge hardware.
• Contribute to dataset development, labeling, augmentation, synthetic data, domain adaptation.
• Prototype across AI subfields: computer vision, signal processing, multi-modal fusion.
• Implement real-time pipelines for on-device and cloud processing.
• Develop benchmarking, visualization, and debugging tools for ML models.
• Stay current with research and assess applicability to product roadmap.
• Participate in code reviews and internal knowledge sharing.
• Must be eligible to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
