Job summary

V.Group (V.Ships) seeks a Chief Electrician to oversee the Electrical, Electronic, and AV/IT department aboard Orient Express Olympian. You will coordinate technical activities, supervise maintenance, and ensure safe, reliable operation of ship systems for continuous readiness.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will support planning, project execution, and safety management across technical spaces, with emphasis on compliance with STCW and company training standards.

• Qualification: As per applicable requirements of IMO STCW Convention (as amended).
• Company certification and training requirements per form C601d.

Responsibilities

• The Chief Electrician is responsible for the overall technical coordination, supervision, and follow-up of the Electrical, Electronic, and AV/IT department.
• Ensures safe, efficient, and continuous operation, maintenance, and monitoring of all ship networks, technical spaces, and assigned systems.
• Supports the Chief Engineer in planning, execution, and control of maintenance, technical projects, safety management, and operational readiness of the vessel.
