Job summary

Hanwha Philly Shipyard in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a skilled Welder to join their team. The Welder will perform heavy shipyard construction welding in various positions using FCAW, SMAC, SAW, EGW, and automated processes, following procedures approved by the shipyard and classification society.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of welding experience, particularly in flux core and ceramic welding; robotics experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years welding experience, specifically flux core and ceramic welding.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with welding robotics and programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy shipyard construction welding using various processes according to approved specifications.
• Understand and interpret approved welding procedures and demonstrate proficient welding ability through performance and testing.
• Maintain welding equipment, conduct internal quality checks, and meet NDT rejection standards.
• Work effectively within a team and train lesser-skilled welders.
