Job summary

OneWater Marine is seeking a Marine Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on a variety of watercrafts in our Naples, Florida location. You will ensure boats and marine equipment are in excellent working condition and contribute to high customer satisfaction.

The role requires independent work and teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with focus on safety, accurate documentation, and ongoing certification through service schools.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent requirement.
  • Proven experience as a marine technician or similar role preferred.
  • Marine technician certification(s) is a plus; manufacturer certification (boat or engine) preferred.
  • Current and valid driver’s license.
  • Solid understanding of marine systems, marine tools, and diagnostic equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades on boats in a timely, competent, and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with parts and service to prioritize and address customer concerns.
  • Accurately document all service work including parts used, labor hours, and details; provide customers with documentation.
  • Handle all boats with care before, during, and after service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and follow safety protocols.
  • Attend service schools to maintain certification and stay updated on trends and tools.

Position Summary

The Marine Technician at OneWater Marine is responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on a variety of watercrafts accurately and in a timely manner. The technician plays a critical role in ensuring all boats and marine equipment are in excellent working condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades on boats in a timely, competent, and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as parts and service, to prioritize and address customer concerns appropriately.
  • Accurately document all service work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and other important details; provide customers with appropriate documentation.
  • Handle all boats with care before, during, and after service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
  • Attend applicable service schools to maintain certification and meet continuous educational requirements; stay updated on trends, tools, and technologies related to the work.
  • Assist with special work events such as boat shows as needed.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

  • Physical demands: Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing; light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds; medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds; heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.
  • This position operates exclusively in an indoor office environment with controlled temperatures.
