Position Summary
The Marine Technician at OneWater Marine is responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on a variety of watercrafts accurately and in a timely manner. The technician plays a critical role in ensuring all boats and marine equipment are in excellent working condition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades on boats in a timely, competent, and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as parts and service, to prioritize and address customer concerns appropriately.
- Accurately document all service work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and other important details; provide customers with appropriate documentation.
- Handle all boats with care before, during, and after service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Attend applicable service schools to maintain certification and meet continuous educational requirements; stay updated on trends, tools, and technologies related to the work.
- Assist with special work events such as boat shows as needed.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a marine technician or similar role preferred.
- Marine technician certification(s) is a plus; manufacturer certification (boat or engine) preferred.
- Current and valid driver’s license.
- Solid understanding of marine systems, marine tools, and diagnostic equipment preferred.

Work Environment
- Environmental conditions: No adverse environmental conditions expected. Poor ventilation, hazardous conditions, small and/or enclosed spaces, noisy environments – none of these are anticipated.
- Physical demands: Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing; light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds; medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds; heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.
- This position operates exclusively in an indoor office environment with controlled temperatures.
