Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining and repairing ocean-going vessels and surveying them for classification, conditions, and fitness.
  • Experience in shipyard management or shipboard engineering supervision and guidance on maintenance and repair functions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and instructions governing surveys, dry dockings, trials, and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Witness all technical tests and inspections required by USCG/ABS; demonstration to prove repairs and Phase M maintenance procedures.
  • Review input from Ship Manager/General Agents on repair cost estimates, vessel repair specifications, and activation/operations/lay-up cost estimates.
  • Determine scope of work orders and monitor their execution, ensure contract technical compliance and acceptance of deliverables.
